No frick you. I fought in more than one war and knew exactly what could happen....... but went anyway. The quote chopping trying to make his words to a grieving widow making him look bad.

I’d like to think I don’t need to preface anything with an “even though I can’t stand the president,” but this seems like a cheap political shot. It was honestly probably more along the lines of “your husband went bravely into this situation. He knew what he signed up for and did it anyway.” I wouldn’t advise releasing these recorded calls on account of what the families suffer, but someone should clarify. I honestly won’t buy that he’s that callous or cynical.
