It’s a message board. Reactions are of the moment, at the moment.
The fumble, the ensuing TD on a defensive breakdown then the long screen play on a third and long? That was poor play.
Criticism was warranted.
Just as when the comeback started and was completed praise was warranted.
If you honestly do not understand this, yes you should read the board less and not post much.

frick you.
At 20-0, I looked like I'd just watched my duck dog get run over...twice.
I wanted the entire staff fired...and I'm an O supporter.
Shitty play gets a like response from the fans.
But I stayed, I hollered my arse off, the D took over and the Tigers found a way to win. Great day to be a Tiger.

Idk what your smoking, but LSU needs all the support they can get right now.

I see you've only been on the Rant since 2010 so I'll excuse your lack of knowledge regarding this subject matter. Here's a little secret....when Nick Saban was the coach at LSU, people still came to the Rant and bitched and moaned about the coaches and players and the student section and the music and food and the drinks and the parking.
I think you get the idea. It has ZERO to do with the level of "fanship". It has everything to do with human nature. Just chill out and realize that everyone is different.

It is possible to be critical of a team and still be a fan.
It's simpletons such as yourself that don't understand that.

They'll all be back when there is the slightest stumble. They hate that the Auburn game doesn't fit their agenda. GO TIGERS!

Bandwagon fans jump on winning teams. If you win you get bandwagon fans, no way around it.
As far as needing them, they are pretty important to any winning program. Why do you think Bama has been killing it recruiting La? Bama winning has turned a lot of people in certain Louisiana areas into bandwagon Bama fans. When they weren't winning these people bamdwagoners were not. When we were winning we turned some people in their areas into bandwagon LSU fans. Look at LSUs success recruiting Texas, lot of "bandwagon" LSU fans out their with Texas programs being down.
The more people following you the more national appeal, not that complicated. Locally, give me all the bandwagon fans possible in Monroe and Amite please.

Gumbo, people deal with stress in different ways. What you’re complaining about is just people venting. My way is to internalize it. Some others have to vent. They usually don’t mean what they say after consideration.

What you're describing is not a bandwagon fan.
A bandwagon fan would be someone who stopped watching completely after Mississippi State and comes back now.

We're glad LSU has fans that can put up with them losing to inferior teams.
there is a difference between "short term" and "long term" acceptance of events. esp events that are evolving. just because a fan doesn't want to crucify the staff or players because of one loss or a bad play doesn't mean they are "accepting it".
the difference in the fans that cry, whine and incessantly complain over every little set back and those that "accept" set backs as part of life is maturity. LSU has had one undefeated team in my lifetime ('11) and that ended in 21-0. and that team had setbacks too but they were overcome by miraculous plays by the honey badger (a once in a lifetime player).
your phrase "put up with them losing to inferior teams" tells me you are just a pup lacking many life experiences and (or) you just don't understand college football. upsets happen and EVERY college coach has experienced them even the demigod saban (who has had many).

I've spent thousands on an education from LSU and thousands more on LSU athletics. Who the hell are you to speak on behalf of LSU? I guarantee they need fans like me.
And learn how to use the term "bandwagon fan" properly. Someone bitching and complaining doesn't put them in that category. On the contrary, bandwagon fans don't even stick around during the rough times.

Praise for excellence and criticism for poor performance. Pretty simple stuff.
