What are we supposed to do? Cheer on his incompetence?

obvious personnel issues

Just fricking stop with the talent shite! We got hammered by State and beat by Sunbelt Troy. We are more talented than both those. Since State crushed us, they have in turn been crushed twice.

We have talent. The coaching couldn't get that talent to play as good as it should have. Maybe they have things figured out some. We will know about 6 Saturday.

So far any discussions about LSU's talent issues have been written off as a defense of Orgeron.

It's possibile for Orgeron to suck, and ALSO for LSU to have talent issues.

We have talent deficits I haven't seen since Dinardo.

I agree 100% with your post.

YOU Have A Bunch Of Idiots in here acting like We Had a pick Of Any Coach We wanted Last year. Truth is the two targets jimbo and Herman weren't coming here and Fedora is struggling big time. Look I agree Coach O isn't the answer long term but what other options were available. Anyone else LSU would have gotten would have gotten a pass on what talent we have here now. Now Coach O is the scape goat for everything. I wish we had better options last year but if O don't work out then so be it. Hopefully if he loses his job we have coaches that want to come here.

It will take a major miracle for our OL to develope that rapidly.

It's perfectly OK to not be confident in O's competence in fixing these issues. NONE of them. His recruiting has been bad by our standards. He's acting like an idiot in press conferences. Throwing people under the bus. The team lost to Troy.

What exactly is supposed to make us confident that this man can fix anything? Has he proven that he can?

So no other coach would have beaten a sunbelt team. Gotcha.

One of the promises with hiring O was that we wouldnt be in a rebuilding year. We were ready to rock and roll

That was a wrong premise.

What makes you think O can fix all of those problems that you think we have?

ETA: You can't answer. Because you know there is NOTHING that makes him qualified to fix anything.

I understand, but my point was mainly that there's a plethora of names you could list more qualified for the role. Every coach loses so the "JIMBO LOST" and "HERMAN LOST" crowds don't really play in this situation (in my opinion). I just think that the talent and money that LSU has every year as a football program should lock down, at the very least, a up and coming young guy who loses with a completely different system being implemented.

There was no coaching hire available for LSU to make that could realistically change things or they'd have made it. As much as people hate this, the fact is that if O was always a serious candidate for the job, Miles should have never been fired. If the market or the "optics" are so bad that O is the best LSU can do, Miles is the best option until that changes.

Honestly, I think that LSU had no options on the board that were realistic enough to truly even consider at this point. I can't stand Alleva, but he hired O because that's literally all that was available so it's hard to really give any weight to what other coaches we couldn't get would do.

Lol. Yep lose all those guys to the pros and lose guys that don't want be here. This not Alabama where *5 kids line up to sign. Look reality check this is not LSU mid 2000 where we could hang. Saban built something at LSU and now he did the same at Alabama. Problem is he is staying at Alabama. Les ran the show We all know that sure Coach O was here but blame les for his recruiting of project QB'S and shitty philosophy on why we became average.

Exactly all those proven candidates:

Of course the same ones that come up at every big school:chip Kelly, John gruden, etc.

Lol none of those guys were coming here

You're right. Coach O obviously had the best resume of all the coaches interviewed.

Honestly you can’t come up with a single available coach that could have led us to a win v Troy.

I suggest the list of coaches that could beat Troy is very very short.

LSU tried for two. LSU got played by two. Period.

Any other nonsense people try to spin beyond "feelers" is just damage control. No coach wanted to touch this program at that point.
