I assume it's a pretty extensive number

The facts are that a lot of players don't know the offense...

we know the HC is ultimately responsible... but please answer this.

who is getting paid big $$s and directly responsible for the offense ?

who is getting paid big $$s and directly responsible for the defense ?

STOP giving these people a pass.

I've been a broken record on this...

CEO is to blame for both "ultimate responsibility" and not holding his position coaches and coordinators accountable. That's his primary job.

The position coaches and coordinators are to blame for not preparing the players on their side of the ball, their job.

It is necessarily a hierarchical system.

Agree, but why are Canada and Aranda getting a pass in large ????

I say that many bitching have a personal vendetta because they did not get their way in the hiring.

Agreed, they seem to be getting a pass... from fans, on this board. Noting that doesn't mean they are getting a pass in that Ops building.

Yes, it's irritating they aren't getting their portion of the blame here. To me, especially Aranda. I've seen more "improvement" on the offensive side than the defensive side personally.

However... not nearly enough, either side of the ball. It's one thing to improve, but it's another not to meet expectations. And therein lies where blame, for all the staff, should stem from.

If you're not improving... blame. (If you're not going forward, you are going backwards is how I think of it- unacceptable)

If you're not improving enough... blame, but less.

I feel like there is/has been alot more shady shite going on behind the scenes in this program than they want us to know about.

You aren't seeing the big picture. He and the rest of the boyz sold Ed on lies. Just is just an example of it.

They are watching more film but the problem is like when you're in front of your peers and they ask does everyone understand and they all just nod their heads. They could also understand in that moment but then when it's playing out on the field, looks change, and it confuses many of the players who haven't seen it before. They need to take this film back to their rooms and learn from their mistakes as well as in the film room with their group.

I agree with doing this during the season but I don't see the point in shortening up practice in the offseason. There is no game film to look at, no games to play, and plenty of time to let bodies recover. If I were O I would be headed to a very successful S and C program, offseason program and copy what they do in the offseason and then go back to what I did during the season at the end of last year. I may even stay with a tough regimen for the first few games if they were cup cakes. Once SEC play comes around then lighten things up and let bodies heal. At that point there is no more physical time you could have out in and they should be well prepared for a tough season. You have to be hard on them in the offseason physically.

Agree in principle.

However, there is SOME film study to be done for a position regarding fundamentals. Think along the lines of a batter studying his swing. ESPECIALLY linemen, both OL and DL. Hands, footwork, hips, pad level, the list is almost limitless. Where a WRs speed may make up for a fundamental error, or mask it, a lineman starts getting abused regularly when opponents pick up on bad fundamentals.

The point, being there is a reason for some film study for non-game planning. I'm seeing a lack of fundamentals in many places (especially OL) so I assume there's something missing. You need a player and a good position coach to do such things. Both (or a good consultant). I don't think it's being done.

Our freshmen would still look like the 4* freshmen they are, but wouldn't look like 2* freshmen if this was being accomplished.

OK. Guess I will post negative comments on a message board. That will make the team better.

I told the give the man a chance crowd this goes way beyond the depth issue. Even with a depth issue you don't get your arse handed to you by Miss. State and lose to a Sunbelt conference team. The problem is systemic to the core. The most important part of preparing for a game is the film, meetings, breakout sessions with the players and coaches. With all the technology and essentials in place at LSU this is inexcusable and goes right to heart of the problem, O, and the men who hired him, Alleva and F. King. But in vintage LSU fashion, the narrative will be the depth issue and O needs another year. Bull fricking shite. Another year won't fix this..It would just make it 100 times worse.
