Went with the F 150 and loving it. Now, do I get a spray in liner and low profile tool box OR Tonneau type bed cover? Pros and cons of both welcomed.

Cons of both; they take up valuable bed space.
I guess the Tonneau cover can be folded back if it's a soft one. I have no experience with them.

Do you work in construction?
If not all you need is the standard set of truck nuts

spray in liner
Definite yes, regardless of the rest
I have a Powertrax bedcover. It does take up a little bed space but it’s worth it for me. Retrax is the non powered version of what I have, also a good product.

scratch it up for a year or two first.

I Will no longer do a spray in if i have a choice. i love the bedrug. as far as bed covers go, i have a bakflip on my Titan (which i am selling next week) that i love as well. the Bakflip is a quality product as is the bedrug.
congrats on the new unit!

I have a spray in and a retrax cover. I've wondered about a bedrug if it gets wet, will the moisture remain under the rug causing premature rust. Have you seen or heard of this happening?

Tundras come with a liner............

i had a bedrug for 8 years. never faded, warped, frayed, stained etc...no moisture sits in it. oil and brake fluid and gas ooze right through it. i would do it over again with no hesitation.

Did you make sure and get the full-sized bed? If not, don't get a toolbox

Aint that the truth.

It's crazy how popular the small beds are for trucks now. When I see the tiny bed with a tool box in it, they should have just bought an SUV. You're not putting much in the bed at all.

Spray in linex UV stable liner. Put a bed rug over it.

My toolbox won't fit in most brands' short beds. It will hit the inner fenders. Plus, if you take 21" out of a 5.5ft bed, you have a 3'9 bed. That's not even big enough for a dog kennel

How will the bed rug stick to the spray in?
Posted on 9/29/17 at 2:11 pm to 24nights
Full Bedrug + Bakflip MX4 here. Love it. My only complaint is you have to shop vac stuff (mostly wood) that gets caught in fibers. Also I found that while the rug itself doesnt mold it holds smells especially smoke. I backed my truck near my grill a few weeks back and smoked a chicken. The bedrug smelled like smoke for a week. I put our baby stroller in there and it smelled like smoke for a week as well.
ETA: Bedrug is full rug with sides and tailgate. Bedrug Mat is just the floor. They are both attached with velcro which is very strong. The biggest difference in the two is that the full rug is one piece from bed floor to tailgate. Nothing can fall betweeb bed and tailgate when tailgate is down.

the 3m velcro will not stick to spray on though, right?

I have a spray in bed liner and a Pace Edwards truck cover, I like both very much. Love the fact I can put anything in the back and pull the cover and dont have to worry about it flying out or getting really wet. There is a little bit of dripping when it rains but I like the fact that I can lock it and it is fairly safe
