Did it when LSU played at Bama during Saban's first year
Scored two end zone tickets about 30 rows up
Some fella that said he lived in Tuscaloosa, but was originally from Baton Rouge gave them to me for FREE about an hour before kick off

The couple sitting next to us paid over $300 per ticket

To Green Bay. Someone on this site sold me tickets the day of the game.

Green Bay also.

Be persistent. Keep asking if someone has extra tickets.

Omaha. Got ripped off at stub hub.

plenty of times in college we brought the whole tailgate and planned to watch it at the tailgate if we couldn't get tickets. I never once ended up watching at the tailgate and the only game I even paid over face was one year at Alabama. You may be in a visiting section but if LSU is winning that can be more fun, if they are losing not so much

Yes, the last time we went to TN, may even do it again this year. Some random TN fan walked up and asked me for a beer, I gave him one and he gave me a ticket in return

I have a buddy of mine that does this all the time. It's sort of a pain in the arse because instead of just going down to BR, tailgating, and enjoying yourself, he spends the whole time hustling trying to get free shite. He'll usually end up with a ticket then works even harder trying to upgrade it. Not sure how that's fun. It's not like he doesn't have money either. Prob more of agame for him, but it gets on everyone's nerves and typically wears you out.

I'd prefer to just buy my ticket ahead of time and relax and enjoy the day.

yes, all the time

one trick is to go to the team hotel morning of the game and ask around in the bar

Did it for bama in 09' the year of the SHOULD have been int! Never got tickets..had a blast tailgating and watched the game at rounders. Was shocked how cool everyone was.... one bama fan actually threw his hat down and screamed bullshite when they said no interception...then proceeded to turn around and say..sorry man... we didn't wanna win like that. Was a really good time...despite the bullshite

bama '09. had no problem finding tickets. there were plenty of tickets around. now that attendance is down, i would imagine it's getting easier. the main thing is to not get scammed. i call the home athletic dept the week of to learn how to spot a fake. they are usually helpful and will tell you the tricks to know.

I've saved hundreds, maybe even thousands, over the years by waiting until right before kickoff to buy tickets. The cheapest that tickets will ever be is when people run out of time to sell them.

All the time.

I'll casually ask folks about tickets throughout my day tailgating, then about an hour before game time, if I don't have a ticket yet, I head near the stadium to snag one. Only been shut-out once, and that was at an Iron Bowl one year.
