Ikon Pass is LEGIT. Just dropped the details.

That is very legit, considering a mammoth mountain pass is usually the same price as the Ikon pass.

Will be interesting to see how many Epic pass holders switch over and even how Epic Pass responds to this announcement. I’m sad to see the RMSP+ go away as it was cheaper and came with a free kids pass when bought in the spring. I’ll probably end up buying the $599 Ikon pass but I expect Winter Park to be a bigger zoo on the weekends next season then it already is. At least this pass will finally get me to Big Sky or Jackson Hole next season, haha.

Steamboat season passes went from $1400 to $899 plus a TON of other skiing. Our season pass this year only gets you unlimited at WP and some days at Crested Butte and Deer Valley.

I'm interested to see if my Jackson Hole pass will get these benefits next season.

Not good for Utah, but that’s pretty sweet for a bunch of other locations. It makes me want to move to Jackson or Tahoe.

Powder in PC was badass on Monday... 2+ feet deep in spots near peaks.

Reading about that pass makes me want to move to Colorado even more so. If only I were 22 y/o again.

I’d move to Jackson tomorrow if I could find decent white collar jobs. The Tetons are so ridiculous.

I’d be right there with you. Colorado is half way more feasible for me. I can dream of getting something in Boulder or at least the west side of Denver.

Might start alternating between Ikon and Epic every year

Anyone ski’d at Stowe? Thoughts?

Worth the trip or should I stick with Colorado and Utah?

ETA: traveling out of BR.

Looks like if EPIC is Heads, Ikon is Tails.
Cool Idea. A lot of these resorts may have suffered some reduction in travelers b/c they weren't part of the EPIC group.

Heading to Copper for the first time tomorrow.
Any inside info? Any cool stops/eats?

I'm an All-Mountain boarder that likes trees and will do some small/medium park features.

Wife has only advanced to most blues and some black runs and attempts beginner park features.

I’m grabbing the Ikon Base next year, I’ll get unlimited days at Snowshoe and enough day passes out west for an awesome road trip. Not bad for $600

I'm already looking at a ski trip for Mardi Gras 2019 after we just did one last month. Pretty much every ski in/ski out place in Breck is about $700/person for either 5 or 6 nights. Are there other nearby mountains that are typically cheaper but still have ski in/out locations (that is a must).

IDK but we have the #1 base depth in North America and #7 in the world so it wouldn’t hurt to check us out here.

Copper might have some cheaper options, but ski in/ski out is gonna be a premium everywhere.

It was in the Jackpine Lodge at the base of the gondola... ~200-300 foot walk from the back door. Can't find the exact unit on VRBO.

There are a ton on VRBO that sleep 4+ and <$400/night within 500 feet of the gondola.

In response to the Ikon Pass, Vail Resorts just announced the addition of 6 Canadian resorts to the Epic Pass.

Kicking Horse
Fernie
Kimberly Alpine Resort
Nakiska
Mont Sainte Anne
Stoneham
