How much work at work do you actually do?

Just curious, how much work do you actually do at work? Assuming the typical work day is from 8-5pm. Maybe behind a desk (such as my case) with two computers and fairly lenient internet/website accessibility. I'll typically have youtube on one browser to the far right, e-mail and documents on the left and other projects open.
I'd say i probably spend about 5 hours actually doing something productive. Least for this company at least. The other 3 will be for my small business and taking breaks watching videos. Notice the same thing for others around this office. Curious about the OT and how you guy/gals fair.

I don't do shite.
Work for a big corporation where everything is over staffed. Anytime the least thing comes up, it's a big race to see who can get it done. I've been here long enough and am senior enough to not care anymore. There are several days I literally do absolutely nothing. The stability and pay is good, but the boredom and having to look professional at all times really sucks.
I've almost quit or walked out multiple times due to boredom but I don't have the balls.

Upvote for owning it. Well played.

Depends on how you define work. I spend maybe an hour each day responding to tickets (usually "is this a legitimate email"), investigating alerts, etc.
The rest of the day I'm fricking off on TD, researching, and threat hunting. Don't really consider any of that "work."

A whole lot less when there is a good topic to read on the OT.
I keep it pulled up at all times and refresh every so often.

I figure if I automate my job first, ill do it better than whoever would try, in the future.

Sometimes I feel REALLY bad, but then I realize most people don't do shite either.

I have a total of 6 hours of work each day. I stretch it out to 10. Web surfing, TD, hour lunch break, talking on the phone, personal business, pooping, etc takes up the other 4 hours.

when I DID work, I spent a few hours each day at the gym working out and sparring and a few hours at the firing range, and a few hours doing doing actual work. The drawback was if something major happened on a base that I was the senior MP on I would be called at any hour of the day or night, and bad things normally happen at night, so.............
I didn't message board at all though while I was in the Army. No time for that.

Funny, this is actually what I do... #managementconsultantlyfe
Edit: if you count travel to/from clients, I work about 55-60 hours/week. Very little of this time in downtime...

On average I work about 80% of the time. The rest is casual conversation, coffee, OT, basically just trying not to burn out.
I have burnt out in the past and that fell to probably 50% of the time working for a couple of weeks. Just barely getting by.
I'd say most people in this office work about 50% of the time all the time.

I have an 8 hour workday, sometimes more. I am on my feet for 6 hours and walking between 4 rooms all day. There are very few moments when I'm not busy. I'm in health care.
