Do not fall for this lack of talent BS. LSU has talent and there is no reason not to win at least 8 games this season.
Have five star skill players doesn't do much if your OL and DL get beat ever play.
FWIW, 8 of 19 commits for 2017 are OL or DL

Where are their lack of talent arguments?
Who said we lack talent?
In 4Q of MSU game we had 4 active d lineman who could play. Thats a depth issue not a talent issue.

What??? We've recruited top flight OT prospects for years. I love how you guys just make up shite to fit whatever narrative you want to push.
Notable OT's in recent years
-Pocic
- Valentine-Okeke
- Brown
- weathersby
- Deculus
- Willie Allen
- Jakori Savage
- Tuehama (G/T)
Have they all worked out as Tackles, no, but let's not act like we haven't recruited guys who on paper looked to be SEC caliber OT prospects.

Problem was the program ran off how many players since Miles got fired?

Soo you refute facts with a bunch of bs assertions and offer no facts of you're own as support.
I dont care who the hell you blame, its painfully obvious we lack depth at some key positions. Just because I can see the obvious doesnt mean I give O a pass for it.

There are depth issues at key positions.
What CFB team, other than perhaps bama and Ohio ST. Do not have those issues?
LSU has had depth issues on OL for years and avg. 9 wins.
And remember our LB corps with Welter in the middle?
And do you think MSU doesn't have depth issues at some positions?
They beat us by 30.
Try another excuse....

like it or not it ran off half the dline and oline depth. It's similar to what he did to Valentine last season. Kid was playing and the second O took over we never see the kid again. Fact is he was in charge when these guys bailed.
lol if you really believe this

O has been here two years, so the depth on the Dl should be fixed. All be it some guys have not paned out. The OL line I blame on Miles and his love of trying to convert guards in to LTs and Cs. But also O has been here long enough to fix that even after transfers not addressing depth with JuCo talent was a mistake.

Sooo we would rather a coach who doesnt show discipline and lets kids run rampant and not goto class without consequences? Id rather high character guys then talented thugs anyway. I for one agree with Os in house discipline

OP, you represent everything that is wrong with:
1. LSU fans.
2. Sports fans in general.
3. Social media.
4. The modern world.

LSU’s 2 deep on both lines are vastly more talented than MSUs. We can stop using that excuse for why we lost by 30.
I'm sorry but we have no one even close to being as talented as Simmons. Don't be naive. There O-line is experienced and tenured is is much better than what we put out there. frick star ratings, Mullen does a great job developing his players.
It's really sad that people want to create a narrative of O running off players. Some of you would rather have a team full of thugs and rule breakers as long as we win. He's trying to change the culture of a program and that shite doesn't happen over night.

This narrative was started on Tuesday by our local media to cover for their boy O. They did it to save face from the comments Marcus Spears made about how this program is in the hole. They didn't want it to fall squarely on Os shoulder. Basically they are pushing the blame off of O and onto the previous regime. They even went far enough as to blame Chavis for the "lack of defensive depth".
In all likelyhood this was started by Panampski (sp.) given to Culotta and run from there. This is absolutely false and we as LSU fans should not give into it.
Sorry, but it started during the summer. Everyone on this board knew we were going to be thin on the o-line during the spring and then we lost more. Everyone expected that Shelvin would be able to get in here and add depth at the NT spot and he became ineligible. This is certainly not new.

Let's get real. We didn't lose that game in the 4th quarter. We didn't have an answer for State in the first quarter. Depth was not what lost us that game.

LSU fans are so dumb.
We have one player on the 2nd string OL that isn't a Freshman
We have five eligible DL that are on scholarship playing tonight.
But the "depth problem" is just a media fabrication.
Thanks Derek!!! Love it!!! O was in charge in 15 and 16. Get real.
He ran off players because he doesn't know how to coach or communicate with his players.
Miles teams LOVED him!!! Doesn't look the same for O.

If you had bothered to even slightly follow LSU Football in the off season, the idea of lack of depth wouldn’t be such a shocking revelation. This problem has been brewing for a few years.
There is no media conspiracy. You may want to wear your tin foil hat to the game. I heard coach o has a brain wash wave generator in the light towers. Yes promanski runs it.

You can't have it both ways. If the numbers were a problem at the end of the game then you have to question the decision to not bring all available scholarship defensive linemen on the trip.
If you don't question that decision then you can't complain about the depth.

I never said we did. But, overall, we are far more talented.

So, it’s not a recruiting problem, it’s a development problem? Who was responsible to develop our DL? Who was responsible to develop our OL? Was he retained by Orgeron?

Spewing objectively false statements doesn't help your cause. In fact, it lends credibility to the idea that you might actually be retarded.
Actually, this week marks exactly one year since Ogeron took over.
I'm not even an Ogeron fan. That said, you guys are just flat out wrong about a lot of stuff.
