A good friend of mine just went through mediation and got a favorable agreement but what lead up to that was the ugliest disagreement I hope to ever see. He was falsely accused of terrible things by his soon to be ex-wife and MIL. He spent a small fortune defending himself. None of the charges stuck but at the end of the day he just wanted to see his daughter and for it to be over. It went on for over 2 years.

The system is so unfair to the accused. His wife was free to make false charges and the state had to investigate. The CPS advised her how to make it harder for him. It makes me sick to think that a mother would do that to the father of her child.

He had a video of her being a negligent mother and caught her cheating. He was willing to work things out but in counseling she reported a bunch of false charges and keep adding as time went on.

If anyone in here has ever been screwed over in a divorce, my heart goes out you.

I'll bet there were many a red flag in the courtship of the ex-wife that your friend missed due to his own inadequacies and/or insecurities.

How two adults can't come to an agreement, I do not understand, Especially with children involved. It's really just utterly selfish to act like that when there is an impressionable child in the middle of it.

Seen it many times, and every time the warning signs were there from the start.

Don't have sex with someone whose life is a mess. Better to be single.

The woman is always right.

Husband is guilty until provem innocent.

I know one case, my old boss, where he would show up to work with black eyes, bruises, etc. I knew his wife and her friends as well. She never had a scratch.

He was arrested many times for domestic violence, thankfully not one charge ever even made it to court.

I had a friend who came home one day to his wife and three children and the police.

She had accused him of mollesting the children. She wanted a divorce and full custody. CPS made his life a living hell and he did not see his kids for over a year. But in the end, the judge saw through her, awarded him full custody and said he wished he could put something on this woman's record to tell the world how bad of a person she was.

Luckily I was married to a dumb kunt who knew it all and she ended up burying herself.
Dumbass had like 10 credit cards in both our names (should be illegal for a creditor to put cards in a name without proof of consent) all maxed out and right before we got divorced, she transferred all of the debit to her grandmothers card because of lower interest. BOOM!!! Freed me up from liability...our problem(even though I've never had a card I knew about) became they're problem. Everything else lined up behind it. I ended up with everything including a house in Dutchtown I never wanted. Only loss I took was the loss when I sold the house. I was one of the lucky one though.

Divorce also shows you how stacked the courts are against Men.

Know a guy who's wife has been seeing another man for 2 years and had to be put in rehab, because she's on heroin.

She got out and wants EVERYTHING. and his lawyer is giving in to all demands, i'm pushing him to get a new lawyer. Even then, he's still at a huge disadvantage going in.

For every man that was won, there are 50, who had the judge take them to the woodshed, even with evidence of her infidelity.

Every once in a great while you will see a husband in a divorce that is bat shite crazy. However, vast majority of the time it is the wife. Husbands just want to get it over. Wives want to cut off his genitals and run them up the flag pole in front of court house.

The real screwed over husbands are those with a female child who sides with mom. Even worse than that is a step daughter.

Women can love more than men and their capacity for hate and revenge is virtually unlimited.

Family courts have ruined marriage. They incentivize the women to leave. If they leave they get the kids and monthly pay checks. If they stay they have to put-up with husbands small annoyances every day.

Government ruins everything.

Make no mistake. The system is STACKED against men in divorce and child custody proceedings. Without a doubt. Guilty until proven innocent. Almost all judges think children living with their mother is in the best interest of the child, which is discriminatory at best.

My ex is such a lying manipulative POS. the only reaosn I am willing to agree to split custody is because I grew up in a broken home and know what it's like. I'm a FIRM believer in equal time with both parents.

She got caught cheating and got left, but refuses to agree to anything but 5/2 split her way. We have no agreement at the moment and the county has custody cases unheard from 2014 it's so backed up. Most days on "my week" it's a race to see who gets the kid from school first. It's cost me over 7500 so far and I'm nowhere near close to being done. In the end it will go split, and I know her lawyer has told her that but she chooses to counter parent rather than be a team and raise our child.

I sincerely wish that all cases were mandatory split custody until ruled otherwise. This is ridiculous.

I hate, hate, hate family law. We have probably spent upwards of 75k over the last 10 years fighting my stepson's mother for custody. She's severely bipolar and an addict. It's a miracle she's still alive with all of her suicide attempts, drug problems and terrible health. The cost is much higher if you include the weeks and weeks my husband had to take off of work to appear in court. Let's add my stepson's mother's legal fees and the amount of money the lawyers and courts have taken that this kid would have enjoyed whatever benefits he could have had the money been spent elsewhere or invested is VERY high! Fricking sickening.

nb4 X a million, the FC laws are biased in favor of those in possession of a vagina, and during these proceedings the counts will pull every dirty trick in the book(coached by their cohort counselors and attorneys,) and then invent a couple of new ones, the guy will get hosed, and pay for it all
