Where is the best place online to order a 4 gal jambalaya pot and lid?

I would like to get one with a cast iron lid. It seems the ones now only come with an aluminum lid.

Thanks, but that is a little too small for my needs. I was debating between the 4 and 7 gal sizes.

You won't find many bigger pots with a cast iron lid.

Randy Oubre in Paulina sells a 5 gal. rig with a cast iron lid. Not as cheap but great quality.

When did they make the switch to aluminum?
Thanks for the goodwood hardware link, but I'm in DFW.

You get much bigger than a five gallon, the cast iron lid gets pretty heavy, also most people prefer the aluminum lids as you don't have to worrry about them rusting and then dripping condensation (rust flavored ) back into your Jambalya, a lot of people will even wrap a cast iron lid in foil to prevent just that, get the size pot you want and don't worry about using an aluminum lid

Before my time. I have my old man's 5 gallon, it's at least 20 years old, and it has an aluminum lid. I've seen way more wooden lids than cast iron when you get that size

Yeah, people add hinges so they don't have to lift the whole lid to serve, no one wants to keep lifting a cast iron lid

Thanks guys. I'll probably just order the 4 gal Bayou Classic one from Amazon for $118 and the aluminum lid for $30. Don't think I can beat that with the free shipping.

I have the 5 gallon pot from Goodwood that was linked earlier. Makes one hell of a gumbo.

I second Randy Oubre in Paulina. Have a 5 and 20 gal from him.

I know it isn't online, and I don't know how far you are, but the wife scooped this one up for me at Pierre part store. 4 gallon, burner and bottle for under 300 I believe.

A stainless lid is best but nothing wrong with aluminum as long as its thick enough to stay flat.
As far as where to order? Good luck. I personally wouldn't buy one without putting my eyes on it first.

Look up Krazy Kajun. I have a 4.5 gallon with cast lid and I think they make a 6 gall with a cast lid. A couple places around Ascension Parish sell them.
Edit: After looking at the site, I don't see the 4.5 or the 6 gallon pots listed. Must have discontinued them.
