Yeah. Slander is Slander. It is punishable.

You would ask for punishment if people in media started calling you a white supremacist.

ESPN has put too much into the "Race-hour with Jemelle and her straight man"

She won't be fired

Ultimately the choice is ESPN's and it's advertisers

She can respond without saying that her actions are "a fireable offense"

Uh, did you watch the Obama administration the last 8 years?

They took a stance on not only selling doughnuts or cakes but who was going to win the NCAA tournament.

Obama opened the door - wide - to inject and comment on private businesses and lets not act like ESPN is some Mom and Pop bakery.

And did you like it when he did that? I didn't and I don't want this administration to wade into those waters either.

Yep. I don't even know why she would comment on it. Well, except that Trump told her to

She was asked about it?

Find something better to read than Huffington Post. It's what pissed off hippies read.

It's pretty fricked up that anyone disagrees it was wrong for her (Sanders) to say it. And I hate Hill.

Correct. Sanders isn't helping with crap like this.

Everyone with a brain recognizes the double standard here. This actually helps those on the right.

Progs are going to protect their own no matter what, but the White House has NO SAY in what a company does to an employee, no matter how blatantly obvious the issue is.

I'll explain.

Basically, anytime the lib tactic of publicly shaming someone and ruining their life by getting them fired from their job for saying something they don't agree with is applied to them (we love equal opportunity, folks), they say you are a triggered snowflake.

It also reveals how much it chaps their asses to be called snowflakes by their constant, desperate attempts to flip it back even when it make zero sense in the context they use it.

Sane people have been against this pussy shite since forever. However, you can argue with neurotic leftists that ruining someone's life for having an opinion is not right or that words are not violence until you are blue in the face, but the only way they will learn free speech is a value worth protecting is by dying by their own sword. So keep it up.

Except that didn't happen here, it only emboldened Hill and ESPN, and simply made Trump more like Obama.

So does that mean every person the called President Obama a Sympathizer of Muslim terrorist should have been fired as well?

Or is it because this is a powerful, beautiuwoman of color in a male patriarchy industry so she should be seen and not heard?

So I just found out that her comments were just on Twitter. All this time I thought your comments were actually made on the air. This makes the right melt that much sillier.

While I agree with the point, it's pretty inappropriate for the White House to take a stance on how a company in the private sector should handle it's employees.

I agree with this. Sometimes you need to rely on surrogates to carry a message. Something Trump and team struggle with. You don't always have to be the battering ram.
