Paging Paul Ryan! Paging Mitch McConnell! You better get your respective shite together.

Despite their failure to advance President Trump’s agenda, congressional Republicans aren’t happy about his outreach to Democrats in the House and Senate, but most voters think it’s a great idea.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 66% of Likely U.S. Voters say it is good for the country if Trump works with congressional Democrats to advance his agenda. Just 13% think the bipartisan cooperation is bad for the country, while 21% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Only 19% believe the president should continue to rely on congressional Republicans to pass his agenda. That’s down from 29% in early April. Sixty-five percent (65%) now feel he should reach out more to Democrats in Congress for help versus 58% who felt that way five months ago. Sixteen percent (16%) are not sure.

Sort of puts the president in the catbird seat. You're gonna do an about face when it's being proven what we are doing is liked by the American people just to "show me"?

It's called Twitter.

As a Republican voter who voted for Trump, I liked that he reached out to Dems. Not because I think Dems deserve it but because the GOPe needs to be shamed. I have no doubt that the Dems will push back just as hard, but I like that Trump is willing to do whatever he needs to in order to push his agenda. When his "friends" stab him in the back, it doesn't hurt to ask his enemies.

Agree with some of the other posters.
I don't see how this is "bad" for Trump or for America.
If the GOP won't play ball and the DEMS will, so be it.
Let's get some shite done.

No, they'll step up and try to get things done so they have an actual case to make in the 2018 mid-terms.
The Democrats have learned their lesson on the effective limits of "shaming" politics. They'll need to show capability if they intend to retake either house.

It is not obstruction for members to find a bill to be lacking in many ways.
How does trumpy health reduce costs?
It doesnt.

I like how Trumpkins think these two will hate bipartisanship. Yes they hated the deal he cut with dems on the CR and debt limit, but that was more about tactics than policy.
Trump's real problem will be the Freedom Caucus. And that the Dems want to impeach him. It will be very hard to peel off any significant number of dems on anything of substance without a lot of concessions.
He might be able to do it on infrastructure though. Everybody is down with more infrastructure.

Just because our left people here are fringe crazy, does not mean we are not looking for work with the Democrats.
The Democrat and Republican parties are both in shambles, time to let Trump move America forward.
He is going to get re-elected, you might as well get on board and plan your next battle for 2024.

The GOP doesn't know anything but losing. No wonder we have 50 different genders, men larping as women in the little girls room, no praying around the flag pole, and a complete failure to conserve anything wholesome about our once great society. They are pussies who only care about themselves, every one of them.

President Trump’s top spokesperson on Wednesday defended his decision to dine with Democratic congressional leaders without their GOP counterparts, accusing critics of distorting Trump’s intentions. “You’ve got the leader of the Republican Party sitting at the table,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters who asked why Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) weren’t invited to the White House dinner. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) plan to dine with the president Wednesday evening to discuss the fall’s legislative agenda. Sanders said Trump is simply trying to have "a very open and honest conversation" with leaders of the other party.

The GOPe won't budge so let's get at them by turning around and bending the knee to the Dem delegation and giving them 100% of what they want and asking for nothing in return

Voters think it is a good thing BECAUSE IT IS A GOOD THING!!!
Trump has always had the opportunity to do extraordinary things which are good for Americans. With the Executive, both houses of Congress and a majority on the Supreme Court, if he can't do good he's a nothing. But to do good for everyone, he has to represent everyone.
