Kaepernick is the reason for NFL's decline.......Pro-Kaepernick Boycott is reason?

“The boycotts ask: How can a league sell entertainment to Black audiences, when the Black men playing in it aren’t truly allowed to have a voice?,” writes Tines. He points to a statement made by the vice president of Atlanta’ NAACP, Gerald Giggs, who in August said “There will be no football in the state of Georgia if Colin Kaepernick is not on a training camp roster and given an opportunity to pursue his career. This is not a simple request. This is a statement. This is a demand.”

He says Giggs’ statement led to others, including a “#NoKaepernickNoNFL petition on Change.org started by 32-year-old Vic Oyedeji, [which] has grabbed more than 175,000 signatures to boycott the league.

Shitty football isn't the reason for it?

I don't think it has much to do with the boycott.

The game has just gotten fricking boring with all the damn penalties for physical contact. Nobody wants to watch flag football

So there are two guys there kneeling with that guy (hate to bring attention to his name). From my research they are both still under contract with, employed by, and working for the 49er's.

So if that guy not having a job is really about the kneeling then why do the other kneelers have a job???? I'm confused....do black people just not see this. Also have they not seen that guy play QB...he sucks.

I couldn't care less what political, sexual, or religious beliefs these athletes have. What it comes down to for me is the quality of the product on the field is severely diminished compared to years past.

The author ignores the fact that ratings started to tank last season

So does it or does it not count since the Falcons beat the Bears in Chicago?

I'm going to guess that Harvey and Irma had more of an impact on ratings than Colin. CNN wasn't doing wall to wall coverage with most of their anchors on the ground in harms way just because people complained about their lack of coverage for Harvey, they were doing it because people were watching.

I just don't understand how people can't comprehend that Kaep is a mediocre quarterback.

He won one game last season and went all vegan, losing his size and athleticism. That's the main reason he can't find work.

He's also clearly selfish and a distraction to the team.

NFL is just a shitty product. Fantasy football bought it another 10 years but people are pretty much tired of that too

Saints game had a RB bobble a ball and dropped his head trying to go after it. The Saints player was penalized because he was just trying to tackle him during this process.

When pussy arse shite like that is called illegal why would i want to watch such BS?

I think that people that actually like the NFL still watch and don't care about the boycott. It's the baws who never really cared and just watched to be part of the crowd trying to act like they are super patriotic by now not watching.

I stopped watching most outside of the Steelers for two reason:

1) Bringing politics into a game
2) Stupid fricking penalties are ruining the game for me.

I'll start watching more games when they stop that shite.

Until then...
