Ford Excursion or Hummer (H1 or H2), which has a more viable chance to make a comeback?

Are these vehicles done for good, or do you see one (or both) returning to production one day?

I have read the excursion is coming back into production.

I saw a jacked up excursion yesterday and thought to myself "why would anyone want that?"

If Ford can retail the excursion for 10k or so less than a suburban it would do well

I will go Excursion since Ford still exists and all.

Done for good. Too heavy for MPG. Trump admin wanted to scale back CAFE (Corporate Average Economy) that Obama had pushed out to 50mpg by 2025 (I think) but the car makers and their suppliers are pushing back because they have invested so much in light weighing and electrification (hybrids and straight electric) that it looks doubtful. Vehicles are going to change a lot soon. Smaller and more expensive.

I think Ford added an extended expedition to fill that spot.

Ford was thinking about getting rid of the expedition all together since Chevy/GMC kills them in that segment, so its very doubtful they will ever bring back a heavier duty expedition XL that costs more.

Everyone likes a good Hummer.

While I don't think it'll ever come, I've said for a long time that the H2 was 15 years ahead of its time.

The H1/H2 would have been much more successful had it had 3rd row seats. The Excursion, even with the Triton V8, was a much better vehicle than the suburban and since it was built on the F250 platform, I'm going to say the Ex would be more viable.

For only $80,000, you can buy a brand new Chevy Suburban HD, which is actually built on a 1 ton chassis (not 3/4 ton).

I'll go with Excursion since I have one sitting in my driveway

CAFE pretty much dooms both. In fact, full-sized truck based SUVs and full size pickups for non-commercial are in trouble because of laughably excessive CAFE - unless Trump does something about it.;

Excursion Powerstroke should be brought back immediately
