I know right? It's like "let's just keep running and hitting a brick wall instead of figuring out how to go over or around it".

Funny and great guy but I'm glad he's gone.

Reminds me of that car battery commercial with the 2 kids trying to hammer the circle peg into the square hole.

"ITS NOT GOING IN!"
"JUST KEEP HITTING IT!"

I would recommend acquiring some healthy hobbies. Perhaps canvas painting or Kayaking.

It was obvious this was strategy for years and it was frustrating as hell. It's safe to say this is what cost him his job.

Idiotic. This is why Bama has beaten Les Miles so many times. That is just not good coaching on any level.

Just as perplexing is why there are down votes. People just as stupid I guess.

Miles lovers mentality = Les can do no wrong, he was the perfect coach. Post anything negative about him and I will down vote you.

If we ever had a Company Commander in the Marines that thought this way, we'd have seriously considered shooting him.

The fact that he still holds onto this philosophy even AFTER being fired because of it speaks volumes.

I don't miss him at all

This story was told directly to a high school coach I was with a few years ago by a current LSU running back at the time

At halftime of an Alabama game that LSU was losing and after running into a brick wall of 8 defenders the entire half for barely 40 yards rushing, Les told the offense verbatim "We are going to impose our will on them until they break"

Miles has left the program, and now is in broadcasting, so let's ease off the tirades a bit.

As for this statement-

Come the frick on... Miles beat Saban head-to-head as much or more than any active coach. That's an objective statement, not a Miles-loving remark.

The reason Bama has beaten Miles so many times is that they are an uber-elite team, the same reason they have won multiple titles and just smothered #3 Florida State. And had the Seminoles have had Dalvin Cook, they likely would have tried to run a lot more, or "attack at team at it's strength"... and would likely have their QB ready to play this week.

Not perplexing at all. Look at the first reply, and you might figure out the downvotes.
