Good luck, most are booked,
Try north of town on 400, most people stick to the main interstates so you might have some luck

I'd just keep moving inland to Birmingham, Huntsville, Chattanooga, or Nashville.

Yea, I'm not sure why you'd want to go to Atlanta??? It could get pretty bad there as well.

You are going in the wrong direction. You should be going West instead of North. The hurricane is taking a mostly Northern path. For instance you could probably stay in Pensacola and enjoy the beach and be largely unaffected by the hurricane.

This is great advice. If you stay just north of ATL on 400 (past Sandy Springs), you can use Perimeter Mall, 285, and enjoy all of what north ATL has to offer - Mountains, trail, waterfalls, and gold mines. Dahlonega, GA has some open rooms. Cumming, GA too.
Edit* - although the other posters are correct, it may be raining the since the storm is headed in that general direction once it makes landfall.

Chattanooga has the Ironman World Championship this weekend, will probably be pretty pricey/sold out around here this weekend too.

Talladega is offering free camping/showers/RV hookups at the track. For any of you that may be traveling that way to get out of the pate.
