My wife has an occupation where she can't wear jewelry so she sometimes forgets. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Probably getting smashed by Chad.

If it was me, it's because I took my rings off in a rental car to put on lotion, set them on the center console (not realizing there was a space between the air vents and the console), ring just slid down into a black hole in the car.

The OT can always be counted on to read into things and jump to drastic conclusions.

She could have:
Lost it.
Getting it repaired.
Forgot it.
Just didn't want to wear it.
Looking to hook up.

Either way, it's not anyone's business. And.. Is it me or do women notice these things a lot more than men??

I have never been into jewelry. Some occupations about require people to remove their wedding rings.

SO's mom is a senior care nurse so she hardly wears it unless it's a social function

My wife often doesn't wear her regular wedding ring. She workplace is often dirty and dusty and doesn't want to damage it. So, to protect her regular expensive one, she has a cheap silicone ring that she wears while at work, doing the dishes, or gardening.

Most jobs in the health care arena will ask you not to wear any rings, or at a minimum, they need to be flush mounted. To prevent you from scratching the patients.

It is also because from an infection control standpoint.....you can harbor bacteria under the ring. You cannot wear any rings and watches in any OR, Burn unit, and in most NICUs for this reason.
