Quick note on BYU fans/Mormons...

This may be off topic or whatever, downvote or delete if necessary...
If you interact with BYU folks this weekend, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by their fan base and mormons in general. The Southern decadence vs mormon thing is lol worthy, but reality is that it won't faze these people at all...they will probably be highly amused.
No, they don't drink, and the religion itself sounds bizarre to me, but whatever. I can honestly say after interacting with several LDS folks through work from all over the country, give me a mormon and I'll take my chances vs most other groups of people. Hard working, smart, generous, and friendly... almost every single one from my experience.
Riding bikes in shirt and tie going door to door is...different, but in real life situations I've enjoyed being around mormons.
I guess my point is, I hope our fan base treats these folks well.

I know a Mormon couple and they're normal. Just don't drink.

seem like good people who care about their community and don't cause problems.

Same. Short sleeve white button down, black tie, and they take safety first, always wearing a helmet on their bikes

Can they drink wine? Jesus drank wine.

No alcohol, coffee, tea, caffeine, or other substances. Now, go look at the prescription drug OD's and abuse in Utah - they just find other ways.

Y'all act as if all Mormons follow the rules. Think more in line with Baptists. From the mormins I have known, they may avoid caffeine but generally have no problem with doing a line off the naked thigh of their secretary.

This is not true. They can have caffeine. No to coffee, but caffeine is okay(chocolate is allowed). That's about all I got.
Mormons are good people. I'll take a Mormon neighbor any day.
I feel the same way about gays for the record.

This is perfectly acceptable behavior.

One other thing to know… Mormon chicks will not blow you next to the dumpster behind the bar. Don't even ask

Growing up, we were only allowed to choose soda's that didn't have caffeine ("Orange, root beer, or Sprite?" as my aunt would ask lol). The "Word of Wisdom" doesn't specifically single out caffeine, but it says something about "hot beverages" which they interpret to be coffee and tea and extrapolate to caffeine (hot coco is fine, I don't know why...). They overlook chocolate because, well chocolate lol
ETA: you wont find a single drop of caffeinated beverages sold at BYU

For the first time in my life, I saw a black one in Boutte a few months ago riding his bike with a white one.
Definitely don't see many black Mormons.

In general, I find Mormon folks to be regular people, they tend to walk their talk.
