Harvey now confirmed to have put 3x the water in Houston than Katrina. Millions of people flooded out.

Anyone else seeing any contrasts?

Houston residents have been firing and robbing people with boats trying to help.

Actually, I think the scam is to call in a rescue, and then steal the boat at gunpoint.

Cause there was a black president during one and not the other? That's racist as frick, but also accurate, but also racist.

Do you hate all black people, or just the ones in New Orleans?

1. We're only three days in to this thing, I'm sure there will be plenty of harrowing stories once things settle down.

2. A lot of the harrowing stories during Katrina turned out to be just that, stories. I remember the rumors about MS-13 sending teams in to conduct organized looting. As far as I can determine, none of that shite happened. Yeah, some bad things went down. But not nearly as much went on as you imply. Mostly it was just desparate people trying to survive a desparate situation. I remember a video of a helicopter rescue with a dozen or so clearly, po' folks, with one of their number organizing them in an orderly line to get on the helicopter. No stampedes, no shooting, they were going through the worst experience of their lives and they were trying to do right. I also remember an African American teenager being reunited with his beloved dog he thought he had lost. No thuggery there, just tears.

There are evil people of all races, creeds, and persuasions. There are also some great people of the same. And most of us are somewhere in the middle just trying to get by.

I'm not reading your thread

What's the purpose and end game of being so us vs them? Bc that is exactly where these threads devolve.

But the people on this board like to cal out the same behavior when BLM does it.
