If it were up to you, where would you put a new stadium?

And give your reason. For me, i would bulldoze the whole area between canal and basin st. with I-10 to the north. Closer to the FQ and enough room to have a lot for tailgating.
Also, open air FTW
Secondly, do you think the saints will be the only team never to get a new stadium (excluding green bay). I get the feeling we are married to the dome forever.

I'd hate to see it move with such an awesome spot downtown. But City Park an/or right on the river would be nice alternatives.
While I would like this, August/September games would be so brutal.

I spoke with someone on the supedome commission last night. They are ready to spend in the neighborhood of 5-600 million in 2-3 years to update the dome further with the Saints contributing to the upgrade.
Looks like it will be Dome sweet Dome for some time to come which I think is great I like the Dome.

Nowhere. The Dome is perfectly situated. It's in an ideal location. Also, anyone who thinks we need an open-air stadium in one of the hottest and wettest cities in America is an imbecile.

Well we've got these things called retractable roofs now

Somewhere on the Lakefront, with parking lots around the stadium.

Play at tiger stadium for 2 years.
Demolish the dome, make it a modern day stadium.
You cannot move the dome without losing the appeal of bring so close to the activities.
Slidell, westwego, and Kenner are too far.
New Orleans east is not safe.
Metairie doesn't have much space.
Lakefront/Lakeview has a good bit of viable land that could accommodate it, but it's missing that appeal

It doesn't rain on Saturday Night in Death Valley. That's why it works for LSU.??

Does it? Despite playing primarily at night, LSU has had to cancel a regular season game each of the last couple years due to weather and lightening delays. The rain and lightening plays havoc with the schedule and creates multiple delays every season. If LSU already had a dome, I gaurantee they wouldn't trade it for an open air stadium. LSU doesn't have $1.5 billion laying around to build a state of the art dome since all of their athletics are privately funded.

1. Hell no to the open air.
2. If you are going to build a new stadium tear down the dome and build it in the same spot.

No the Chiefs just recently paid a lot of money to renovate Arrowhead and the Dolphins to renovate their stadium.

Ain't so much about open air as it is about natural lighting which I think Is one of the planned upgrades to dome
Posted on 8/29/17 at 5:25 pm to Chad504boy
I wouldn't mind some natural light but the cowboys stadium has some bad angled where you have shadows and even really bright blinding beams of light. So if that's what we are gonna get I would rather just keep what we have.

They did a great job. Just saw Metallica there. I'm sure it's still not to the level of some stadiums but I don't get how much nicer you'd want an outdoor football stadium to be.

So this one?

What could be better than spending untold millions on a open air stadium with the sites and unique aromas of a August New Orleans.
