...would you work? would being a house dad be too embarrassing for you or not? would you get a job that maybe paid less but was more fulfilling?
I agree on the JD power trophy stuff. You got an award because your vehicles don't break down in the first 90 days from purchase? Cool!

Yep powder coating. I've had many things powder coated over the years and it's a great product. Really holds up well. Ceramic coating is for high temp applications.
I actually haven't taken a picture of the boat yet lol. I will next time I take it out.

And to the poster above, thanks for the rec. What got me wanting to do this was a guy I met at the launch. He had a new aluminum bass boat and he told me a shop quoted him $1300 to powder coat the whole boat. He told me the name of the company but I didn't write it down and I forgot.

Northshore.

You're right about the touch ups but powder coat is extremely durable when done by a quality shop. My race cars had powder coated chassis and I'm pretty sure you could have beaten on them with a hammer.
Well we've got these things called retractable roofs now

Yes I'd like to powder coat the entire boat. It's an 18' custom aluminum flats boat

Also, anyone who thinks we need an open-air stadium in one of the hottest and wettest cities in America is an imbecile.

Works for LSU
And give your reason. For me, i would bulldoze the whole area between canal and basin st. with I-10 to the north. Closer to the FQ and enough room to have a lot for tailgating.

Also, open air FTW

Secondly, do you think the saints will be the only team never to get a new stadium (excluding green bay). I get the feeling we are married to the dome forever.

I was told there's someone in South LA that does this and he's very good on price. Anyone know anything about this?

It's not "organized." More like skills teaching

Helicopter parents at soccer

Our son is in 3-4 year old soccer and about 90% of the kids have a parent hovering over them the entire time. When did this become the norm?

It's also clearly visible that the kids without a parent hovering over them are doing much better at playing and taking directions from the coach.

Ever had a soccer practice canceled and need to let them know? Or had one end early because of a surprise thunderstorm, even though it's sunny and bright out 5 miles away, so now they need to be picked up 45 minutes sooner than planned?

so.....how did parents handle this before cell phones?

. Chicken and sausage gumbo is the best and is proof that the universe loves us and wants us to be happy. Seafood gumbo, which is pretty good but can't hold a candle to its yardbird cousin, is further proof that the universe loves us and wants us to enjoy the delicious bounty of the sea.

Then there's okra gumbo, which is proof that the universe is an ugly and terrible place hellbent on destroying everything good in our short pain-filled lives.

Exhibit "A" of why non-cajuns should not cook gumbo.

okra is only for shrimp gumbo.

Your guy at work is correct

Also, grammar.
I've had my most success with a 70/30 mix of lump coal/wood chunks. I was just shocked how bitter the food was with wood only. I've been using straight wood on a stick smoker for over 10 years and it's always great.

Using all wood in a ceramic smoker

Since I only use wood in my stick smoker, I thought "why not" and tried all wood in my green egg without any lump charcoal. This did not turn out well. Food was cooked perfectly but had a bitter taste. Is this the result of "smoke overload?"
I highly suggest anyone on the Northshore check out the popcorn bistro in Covington. Tons of flavors all made in house. One of my favorites is the dill popcorn.

Same here. That's what led me to try a beard specific wash.
