Trump disbands Advisory Council after multiple CEOs distance themselves from the President

Just Yesterday Trump said there was a line of CEOs just waiting to replace the ones quitting the Manufacturing Council.
I guess that was fake news because Trump just announced the council was ending.
I'm not sure if he thinks businesspeople is supposed to be one word on not. May be a typo.

Donald J. Trump? @realDonaldTrump Aug 15 More For every CEO that drops out of the Manufacturing Council, I have many to take their place. Grandstanders should not have gone on. JOBS!

Pros: Trump acknowledged people were under pressure because of him
Cons: He quite truly raced to Twitter to officially disband something that was already being disbanded without his involvement.

What a difference a day makes.

He couldn't take the embarrassment of seeing them quit one by one.

Will all these CEO's companies be "distancing themselves" from any current or future federal government contracts as long as Trump is president, to stay consistent here?

Day mad.
Trump about to f' up their trade and legislative corporate advantages they have profited from the last 30 years.
Oh, well. The pendulum swings. It's the peoples' turn now.

I'm struggling to find the logical contradiction that must have led you to use the phrase "fake news".

Still not sure why anyone cares about this.

You got him this time, Haughton. This will surely cause his demise now...

No CEO wants to be around when the 24hr news calls them Nazis.

And so history will record this dog & pony show ended over @real's reluctance to condemn Nazis. Well done, @realists. Well done.

Good.
I'm certain thousands of sore loser lefties deluged the remaining business leaders on the two advisory councils with demands that they immediately resign from the councils.
In reality, President Trump can still talk to all of the business leaders and get their advise so there is no real need to have those business leaders be continually harassed by deluging them with demands that they resign from the councils until they resign from the councils.

"Upon further review, I am now disbanding my now empty councils."

These statements are not contradicting each other. You have no evidence to link them.
The more likely explanation is that people were joining the council just so they could virtue-signal their exit in a highly public way for attention. If the council isn't serving its purpose, you end it.
There is so much more to this that your connection is nothing but a tinfoil hat conspiracy.

Folks this is part of draining the swamp. Trump never said it would be easy.
I find it coincidentally convenient that this would happen on the day NAFTA re-negotiations begin.
quote:
“It must be always be remembered; there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage than a new system. For the initiator has the enmity of all who would profit by the preservation of the old institution and merely lukewarm defenders in those who gain by the new ones. ”
