to what end?

criticizing a man as insecure as Trump about this just doesn't seem like the smartest move IMO

in what world do you think I defend Trump?

you have the Trumpkins running around screaming that Trump never said "red line" so the comparison can't be made, even though Trump obviously implied a "line"

If Trump drew a red line it was only after NK said they were going to launch missiles at Guam, I believe Trump on that red line.

it's one thing when you pop off about the ACA or whatever, it's something else when it's a potential international incident. How some of you people continue to gloss over and/or defend (or worse, blame the media!) it is mind boggling.

Other than, I suppose, opening himself to criticism from people like you, tell me what you think Trump's statement did to further inflame this situation. Do you really think, but for his statement, N Korea would have done something different or something that would have diffused things?

If your argument is the POTUS should be above criticism because he's too much of a child to handle then that's a new one, i'll give you that

like i said a few days ago, proportion matters

was Trump's comment necessary? no. he shouldn't have said it

if something happens, will that comment actually mean anything? no

but the partisan, anti-Trump media has created this narrative like it's going to be equally Trump's fault or maybe even more his fault than anyone else's if this goes to war. they're almost egging on an incident so they can blame Trump. it's fricking crazy on multiple angles

Trump could bring about world peace, and the media headline would read "Trump puts our brave men and women in uniform out of work!"

Trump cures aids and cancer. CNN headline: Trump maliciously cripples the oncology industry.

my argument is that Trump draws a line, NK passes line, and instead of starting war, Trump succumbs to reason (for whatever reason) and backs down, then he should not be criticized unless you actually want war

Why would someone criticize Trump for doing what they want him to do?

It's simply a clear tell of how butt hurt the media remains from Obama suffering political wounds from his red line rhetoric.

that's not what he said

you said "this is why he shouldn't be President"

Salmon said, "yeah well he actually is President"

there could have very easily been an incident that resulted from that comment (and his follow up comments), in which case he would share the blame

as of now it appears that's not going to happen, although if you think the POTUS doesn't bear any responsibility in the direction these things typically go then i don't know what to tell you

it sounds like you're upset the media is holding the POTUS to a higher standard than a 2 bit dictator. He absolutely should be held to a higher standard. Everybody knows what a frick KJU is.

the criticism of tPOTUS is for the comments themselves

that the red line was crossed with no action leads to criticism of Trump fans/Obama haters who were up in arms then and defend it now.
