Apparently he didn't realize that he was playing against the backups.

Sheesh.

Slow down there big fella. I think he was referring to the speed of the game and how the SEC prepared him for it.

If you take your purple and gold shaded glasses off, it really wasn't a smart thing to say, being it was his first preseason game against mainly second and third teams. Hope he just didn't put a target on his back.

He said "It was really easy".

I don't care what conference you played in in college, this is the NFL, and you're a rookie, behind a bad offensive line.

Confidence is a good thing. That's overconfidence, borderline arrogance to make a comment like that, in the preseason, after you averaged 3.8 yards/carry against backups.

Oh shite I'm sure those NFL defenses are gonna try extra hard now to tackle him. Non story.

Did you even watch the game? If you did who dropped the ball on the first series on the 3rd down conversion for the jags?

What does that have to do with a rookie running his mouth after 9 carries for 31 yards against the 2nd and 3rd stringers?

Have a feeling that ESPN put their own spin on his words, as they've done with others before, in order to make bulletin board material. Last article I read with quotes from him a few days ago, he indicated the game was slowing down for him.

NBC has the same story, with the same quotes. It came from NFL.com, so take it for what it's worth. Maybe the NFL wants him to sound cocky, who knows?

You keep referencing his stats last night. If you had watched the game you would have seen what he brings to this team. He ran his mouth after the game yes but don't keep going back to last night's preseason game as your ammo.

Kinda like doing the Heisman pose against Sam Houston State, equivalent of second and third teams from the SEC.

Dude, he looked good against backups, ok? He didn't just run over a Super Bowl-winning defense.

So what else am I supposed to use as "ammo"? This is the first time he's played in any kind of real game action that we can see. He looked good, but against backups.

Excuse me if I think he's running his mouth after an ok performance.

If he goes for a buck fifty and 2 TDs against the Texans D in week 1, then he can talk all he wants.

yea, kind of like deciding to strike a Heisman pose after a routine TD against Sam Houston State.
