on finebaum. finebaum says why? miles lost his job because he was stubborn.
I don't think so. I truly believe miles just loved the old style mano e mano game. imposing your will on the opponent. Lining up and just blocking and tackling. True Grit! I just think he couldn't help himself.
he was doing it the way he loved it. AND, of course, if he did get another job, he'd do the same thing.
God bless, Les. you were a one of a kind.

Too many people believe this crap. Les got fat and rich doing the same thing over and over again. It would have required complex thinking to overhaul the offense and he didn't have it in him. Its that simple. His "style" failed LSU and LSU waited too long to can his arse.

Not sure if you're trolling, but yes, that is what you call stubborn and it is a huge factor in him losing his job. How many times did he promise to "open up" the offense and never follow through? As a coach, you make the necessary adjustments and do what it takes to win. Miles did not do that.

You don't think so he won't be going to Ole Miss or you don't think so he isn't stubborn?

I guess he liked his offensive style more than he liked his job. Pretty dumb in my opinion.

Miles was determined to prove 3 yards and a cloud of dust can still work in today's game, to his own detriment.

Stubborn - having or showing dogged determination not to change one's attitude or position on something, especially in spite of good arguments or reasons to do so.
Just wanted you to read the definition of stubborn, so you can realize how much of an idiot you are.

Stubborn. Yes to a degree. I think his stubborness was more connected to his loyalty to failing assistants. Cam Cameron was a big liability to the program in his inability to recruit and coach up a quality qb for the most part.
While Miles obviously had an affinity for running the ball and controlling the clock he did show when he had a qb with the necessary tools- Russell, Flynn, Mett- he'd throw the ball all over the field. Problem was he couldn't seem to get get a good one often enough. That coupled with him being unwilling to make the necessary changes- coaches and scheme- when his job was on the line, is why he's gone.

Only retarded people think Miles to Ole Miss is a realistic possibility. They called in to the Finebaum show? Then they're retarded.

miles deserved to be fired. you can only lie so many times about changing the offense.

Les would be ok with a 10 win season every year. Championships were not a priority.
