mano e mano

Here's a little Spanish lingo:

"mano e mano" means "hand [the letter "e"] hand"

mano y mano means "hand and hand"

mano en mano means "hand in hand"

mano a mano means "hand to hand"

hombre a hombre means "man to man"

Like I said earlier his style was fine. Lack of above average QB play was his downfall. To do what he did with shite QB play for as long as I can remember was pretty impressive.

[Obligatory preface that Les Miles is a very good man, was a great ambassador for LSU, truly provided some of the most memorable press conferences in all of college football history, is a giving and charitable and thoughtful man, and a role model father...]

... BUT I thank the old gods and the new that I don't have to watch another 5 star kid a) ride the pine; b) get completely underutilized; c) get kicked off the team; or d) get used like a battering ram until the inevitable injury (i.e. L.F.).

I have no clue how successful CEO will or won't be... but I have absolutely NO DOUBT 5 star recruits will be utilized much, much, MUCH better than with Miles.

Love Les, we can only hope " O " is anywhere near as successful. That said, the Les offense was stuck in the 20th century. Offensive game passed him by.

A gamble that was necessary. I couldn't watch Les Miles football anymore, even when we won the game I would feel like we had lost. It was crazy.

I don't think so. I truly believe miles just loved the old style mano e mano game. imposing your will on the opponent. Lining up and just blocking and tackling. True Grit! I just think he couldn't help himself. he was doing it the way he loved it. AND, of course, if he did get another job, he'd do the same thing
He couldn't help himself because of wretched excess ego & stubbornness.

Snow Peas gave him a chance to come back in 2016 if he changed and modernized his Offense.

Apparently, this was going to happen in the off-season, but we all saw what happened against Wisconsin and Auburn last season with "Deer in the headlights Harris" still starting at QB.

Fool me once......Fool me Twice.

Farewell and adieu my fair Spanish ladies...
Farewell and adieu sweet ladies of Spain...
For we've received orders to sail back to Boston...
And so nevermore shall we see you again...
