Revisit the press conference when O was hired. Alleva literally said that part of the reason for the O hire was continuity, which implied that we are still close to competing for titles, but simply needed a new face leading the way.

Alleva also said the same things about Jones. He has to pump up his hire. O doesn't really bring continuity other than he was on the staff the previous two years. In reality, he's part of the failed system. Just because LSU only lost to Bama by 10 last year, it was more telling that they got shut out at home more than anything else. This program is far from championship level and I don't see it getting there with O.

I have zero problem with those that are not thrilled with the O hire. What I can't stand is little punks like you that bash him daily

Literally no one in this thread was "bashing O" in this thread. It was a discussion in regards to Cameron's offense against Ensminger's offense. No one really even mentioned O's name.

...and then you came in with your usual bitch fit about how much O's being persecuted and the thread devolved from there.

Aranda will eventually move on because that's what young, good coaches to in any program, and then we'll see how mediocre O really is.

I keep seeing this, why couldn't Aranda or Canada eventually become the HC here instead of bolting?

Highly likely Aranda ain't sticking around after this season no matter what money is thrown at him. Hopefully O is prepared when it happens.

Yeah. Going 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 3rd in the west is the zenith of this program.

Not excited at all. And that's being honest. It's obvious if you take off the purple and gold glasses that we are headed back to mediocrity. It sucks

Orgeron is a first year head coach. Please give me an example of a top coordinator who stuck around for years instead of taking a shot at a head coaching gig? If Orgeron fails so fast one of them is still here, something tells me we won't want them. Why does everyone always just wanna keep a coordinator?

After last season when all those offseason promises ending up being a pile of horse crap my expectations are much more tempered this year

If we can leave Gainesville as a 6-0 team then I'll start to believe again

Otherwise Coach Oeaux can take that Texas Bowl/Music City Bowl/Liberty Bowl and shove it

You people are some miserable SOBs. I hope the man goes frickn 12-0. I'm NEVER going to shut up about how great he is, how he's never leaving, how we're going to build a statue of him, and how his voice will be getting worse each year as he gets older. You people are garbage!!

I will make thread after thread about how great he is after every game we beat the brakes off of the opponent. Deal with it

Records aren't what a coach is measured on by recruits. A big time LT prospect just said so himself yet you clowns keep spewing this record shite. Even if we went 9-3 as long as we are showing improvement in all phases, it will NOT affect our recruiting. What will are you idiots breathing this garbage about LSUs head coach with nothing current to back it up. As if you haven't seen improvement. USC fans wanted him, LSU fans wanted him and it's not for his freakn accent, it's because he made Les Miles look like a damn HS HC immediately after he took over. Competition or not Les hadn't done what he did in his entire tenure. That's called an immediate improvement. STFU clowns

We have a 5th year senior QB who won't be all-SEC but should be better than almost anything we have seen lately.
And a talented back-up that will be all-SEC when he takes over. (If they get a new OL Coach and totally raise the OL recruiting standards for 2018)

It won't matter. These assclowns, 18, groupee, broski, Rick, Earl, mo jeaux, sport, 1988, and others, will give all the credit to the coordinators. They already have their excuses. Even if Lsu wins it all, zero credit will be given to O...because these little kids didn't get their way and get the flashy new hire like they wanted. But, if Lsu has a few losses, they will be even more unbearable. They are truly little pussy kids throwing tantrums. They can't lose. O will get zero credit but all the blame.

What are you laughing at. I don't agree years, but clearly, Lsu has some rebuilding to do.

Lmao. Headed back? We haven't had a 10-2 season in 5 years. Lmmfao. Lsu hasn't played a single down this year, yet YOU KNOW how they will look.

we have had 1 recruiting class outside the top 4 in the last 4 years and it was #7(using scout composite)
it's just amazing how the goal posts have been moved.

it's funny that miles was underachieving WITH ALL THAT talent and less than a year later we need to rebuild. both can't be true.
