I can't think of another success story more inspiring and improbable than his.

From undrafted shelf stocker to MVP and Super Bowl Champion? Yeah, I don't think it's even close.

Awesome comeback and career, but not sure if it should be HOF-worthy before TO. I say the same about Davis.
1998: Started as a backup for 1 year.
1999-2001: 3 great years with Rams, although case could be made that Faulk was by far the more important player, but nonetheless played like an elite QB even with some injuries. Superbowl, etc.
2002-2003: Injured, can't hold a starting spot for 2 years, and even when he played it was like bottom 5 QB play
2004: Signed with NYG and was benched in favor of Eli.
2005: Arizona then signed him and he played lackluster in year 1, in and out, then injured
2006: The 2nd year he started out with a solid game 1, then played horrid for the next few, benched for Matt Lienart and played the last 2 games playing okay.
2007: Lienart was the starter, played bad, and Warner filled in the rest of the season playing well.
2008: very good year and led them to a superbowl.
2009: Slightly above average season, like Andy Dalton-level above average. Got crushed and retired.
12 years in the league:
3 elite (99, 01, 08)
2 above average (07, 09)
1 average (00)
6 injury prone/bench/lackluster (98, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06).
If he makes it in, Calvin Johnson better make it in.

Wasn't Malcolm Butler working at Popeye's then icing the SB a short time later?

Not only that but his wife went from looking like a bull dyke to pretty decent.

Much like how LA Tiger was the poliboard's greatest (self-loathing) tinkerbell, no?

Him being part of the media had some to do with him getting in.

I always have loved Warner. Dude played his arse off and happened to get in the way of the saints Super Bowl destiny season.
