Tywin's downfall was being a shitty and hypocritical father. He was a shitty father to all 3 of his children, especially Tyrion. Tywin's failing as a father will lead to the downfall of his house.
Nothing would make me happier for Tywin's legacy if Tyrion's daughter Lanna became the heir to Casterly Rock, after forcibly being turned into a whore by Tywin. Won't happen on the show, but it's a possibility in the books.

Yeah, it's really hard for me to imagine that Varys in both the show and books didn't figure it out. Same with Tywin who should have seen through that. Varys might let Jon slide since in the books at worse he would be another distraction for Robert and the Lannisters and in the show it's because he actually wants what's good for the realm.

Actually, I think book Varys would have seen Jon as a threat to fAegon.

Yeah, but I think he knows Ned isn't going to say shite to him and that he'd take the black. Once Jon took the black, he was of no more concern to Varys as Aemon was.

I'm not buying that he knew. But, if he did know and didn't do anything because Jon was going to and then did take the black, I'd love to have seen his face when he found out Jon got out of his vows because his watch ended when he died and was brought back by magic.

Yeah, given the fact that a person's aunt possesses the same exact genes as one (or both, in Alabama) of that person's parents, it is actually pretty gross.
So, in this case, it would be like Jon marrying Rhaegar. Wow, that's hot.

I mean the fact that you grew up as siblings.... I think that would be more difficult to separate.
Plus there's genetic sexual attraction that happens to long lost family members, but doesn't really occur with people who grew up together. They could be attracted to one another and not really know why, with this being the reason.
