Better WW 2 flick Fury or Hacksaw Ridge?

Finally got around to seeing Hacksaw Ridge and Although both have flaws I have to go with Fury as a better movie as it had less WW2 movie cliche moments than Hacksaw Ridge. HR was a decent flick it was just missing the gritty edge of Fury.

Hacksaw Ridge was good, but I thought Fury was great.

Fury's ending fight prevents it from being called "great". It almost ruins the entire movie for me. A battalion of elite SS troops can't simply flank a single broken down Sherman and shoot it with a Panzerfaust? Gimme a break

I agree that The Fury ending was a little "out there" but in HR there was a couple of moments that gave me the same feeling. I mean the pulling of Vince Vaughans character on a sled blanket backwards while he used a German grease gun (in the South Pacific never mind.. would like an explanation of that) all the while shooting with great accuracy was just too much of a reach for me.

If Fury is better than HR, then I'll definitely be avoiding HR.

Hacksaw Ridge was far better. Fury is good though.

Hacksaw because it's a true story.
Couldn't get over the ending of Fury. Totally ruined it for me.

Hacksaw Ridge.
Thought I'd hate it but watched it twice.
The last hour is going to be one of those movies you'll rewatch.
Especially after you watch on YouTube the doc of the real man getting his medal of Honor.

Hacksaw Ridge is just an incredible story that needed to be told and I am still amazed by the guy. The fact they had to actually tone down his accomplishments, cause people wouldn't believe them, is mind blowing..

Yeah they didn't even mention Guam.
Not mention his postwar years.
After the war, Doss initially planned to continue his career in carpentry but extensive damage to his arm left him unable to do so.
In 1946, Doss was diagnosed with tuberculosis which he contracted in Leyte.
He subsequently underwent treatment for five and a half years – which cost him a lung and five ribs – before being discharged from the hospital in August 1951 with 90% disability.
Doss continued to receive treatment from the military but after an overdose of antibiotics rendered him completely deaf in 1976, he was given 100% disability; he was able to regain his hearing after receiving a cochlear implant in 1988.
Despite the severity of his injuries, Doss managed to raise a family on a small farm in Rising Fawn, Georgia.

Hacksaw Ridge is a far superior movie.
Fury was just a decent action flick.

Hacksaw Ridge was based on a real story.
Fury was good right up until the SS guy let the dude go. utter BS as unrealistic as a flying tank would be

Why do you assume every German fighting for Germany was the worst human being ever? Is it that hard to believe that maybe they had young guys fighting for them that didn't really want to, just like how the kid hiding under the tank was when he first started?

Hacksaw Ridge was good but more commercialized. Fury was more of a raw war film that didn't try to appeal to too wide of an audience. I thought Fury was the better film.
