quote:

In the wake of Hugh Freeze’s dismissal as the head football coach of Ole Miss, many names have been tossed around as his replacement, including Les Miles. And according to one report, Miles would jump at the chance to coach the Rebels, less than a year after being fired at LSU.

Doubt he would take a job that's about to get a hammer dropped on them. Better to just wait it out for Tennessee after butch gets canned.

They won't hire Miles. Look for Luke to be made permanent HC if he wins a few games early in the year. No legit coach is taking or being offered that job until it's known what the NCAA penalties are.

Report all rumors, even if extremely doubtful.

Would be great for Ole Piss recruiting, but not so great for winning 10 games

Nobody is interested in hiring Les. Nobody. He has been unemployed for almost a year now. He had a chance to get interviews. People saw him coach his way out of a job. Miles might be interested (doubtful) but they aren't interested in him. He is also about to turn 64. Outside of Saban, nobody else his age is getting interviews to coach college football.

Just wrote an article on this that got deleted for some reason. Miles may be offered the job as early as tomorrow. We will see but both sides seem to be very interested.

Of course he is. He will never get a respectable coaching job again however. The game passed him by years ago and everyone who is not a fan or named Joe Alleva, knows it.
