What kind of airplane crash death would you prefer?

Scenario One: The plane is flying along when there is a mechanical defect (like an uncommanded rudder movement) and the plane rolls and dives to the ground. Death occurs 15 to 45 seconds after the roll.
Scenario Two: Some major mechanical malfunction occurs (for example, cargo door blows out or major hydraulic system damage). You'll be in the plane for 20 minutes before it attempts to land. You have hope. You have fear. It lands, some make it but you don't.
Do you prefer the "quick and its over" scenario or the "there is hope" scenario?
In both cases, assume that death is instantaneous on impact.

if some make it, itd be pretty selfish of me to take the one that only quickens my death
and its not like i know im going to die in either scenario (if i did, i would've taken a bus), so the one that gives me hope of survival seems like the better choice
also affords the opportunity to find a hotty and convince her this could be our last chance to join the mile high club

In the 2nd one you say that others survive where in the first one it seems none do. Obviously i want others to survive.
Don't much care if there is hope or it is instant. I made my peace with everything in life, shared my thoughts with my loved ones on how I feel about death and am good with it.
I just don't want a long torturous death such as cancer. Eff that.

This is so dumb. All you have to do is jump up right before the plane hits the ground and you'll land right on your feet safely.

This question is a paradox. You offer us option two with the carrot that we will have hope, but then tell us we have to answer it with the caveat that we are assured death. So how can we have hope if the condition is that we know we are going to die with certainty?
In a real life scenario, clearly option 2 is preferable because you would theoretically have a chance to survive.

These are simulations of plane crashes or near crashes. I saw the New Orleans one and watched a bunch more. They are very interesting including air traffic and pilot communication.
