Yep. The GOP is no different than the Democrats. People are just refusing to accept that.
They screamed repeal and replace for 7 years. They are given the opportunity with nothing chaining them down. They never had any intention to repeal it.

Yep.
I hope they enjoy the reckoning that is coming.
Of course, knowing they are screwed and tattooed may get them off their asses to pass tax cuts and an actual cutting budget in the hope of saving their own asses.

Still way too many cuckservatives have infested the Republican party.
Need to vote them out and replace them with actual conservatives and libertarians.

The Ds knew that ACA could never be fricked with. When has an entitlement transfer program every been repealed?
I wish we would just expand medicaid and just clearly the explain the amount of taxes the government will take from those of us that pay taxes and see how the public actually likes it.
The hiding of all the O care revenue streams was sneaky as frick.

Surprise! It's a lot easier to say "this shite sucks" vs. actually providing a better alternative. Can't believe the God and Guns crew couldn't get it done.

Yep. I'm officially done with the Republican Party. I'm now a full-time Independent. The party I have left is filled to the brim with cowardly fools who are too afraid to ruffle a few feathers in order to effect real change.

We accept your defeat. Thank you for being a gracious loser.

We are in a tough spot. Not voting for Rs give the Ds more chances to move us more toward socialism. Voting for Rs is not working either.
I want to stay as far away from socialism as long as possible for my kids sake.

There was never supposed to be an alternative. This thing was originally supposed to be repealed and returned to the states once Republicans gained control of the legislative and executive branches.
If I'm President Trump, I tell the Congress to hit the red button and jettison the whole thing without an immediate plan for replacement. He talked about doing just that about a week or two ago. And I'm fairly certain he can get the vast majority of Republicans in the House and virtually all of the Republicans in the Senate to go along with just such a plan.
Because, in the end, that's exactly what conservative lawmakers within the Congress want to do. They just want to repeal the damn thing. They have no interest in replacing it.

Defeat? Is that what you prog/commies call compromise and transparency these days?
What's wrong with my proposal?

I haven't posted in awhile and for good reason. Seems like a natural lull in the middle of the summer--the dog days..
But, this failure to repeal this death spiral of legislation with a clean swipe is a nail in our coffin.
The Republican majority ran, and won, on this main topic--they promised to repeal the whole bill and have a true freedom based/free-market capitalist structure.
They failed...
They ran on getting our house in order when it came to reeling in entitlements because we are broke and our national debt is about to skyrocket through the roof. We elected a president who is hell-bent on cutting government and wasteful spending while reforming entitlements to a point where we wont' be spending our GDP all on these goodies--these republicans aren't helping in any way.
They failed again..
We can finger point all day on why we are where we are today, but the fact remains that our government has failed to reign in it's problems and those failures will fall on the taxpayers and middle-class's backs when the piper comes calling.
You can't print away your discretion and borrow money at low-interest forever. Sure, you can always go to war with some country (see Syria) for others resources or to force a dictator (Saddam/Qaddafi) to their heels for threatening the petrodollar status, but the day of reckoning is fast approaching our central government. They can point their fingers at Russia and call Putin the boogeyman all day (and he is a bad man from all accounts), but that cat won't fly.
It seems our leaders are hell-bent on war with Russia or a big conflict with multiple nations to maintain their power through the dollar-reserve and the ability to borrow at super low interests to fund their lies and deceits.
Who is to blame for the mess we are in? Us, the People? The ones who won't take up our pitchforks and root these frauds out by force (voting sure doesn't help)? Or, is it these lying shucksters who have constantly promised (both democrats and republicans) to deliver on their word, but in the end they only grease each others pockets while the nation suffers and reaps the windfall of their lack of resolve to change our direction towards the cliff?
I don't know either way, but one thing I do know for certain is this..........
TRUMP IS A TRUE OUTSIDER.
He has no friends in Washington outside his immediate family and even some of them I question till this day.
Freak D.C. and every democrat and republican there that have failed in every way to improve our nation.

This is why Trump will have a "backwards" presidency. Most presidents have their highest political capital balance in the 1st couple of years then slowly transition to lame duck. Trump is basically a lame duck right now with the GOPe and Dems fighting him at every step of the way. He will get the most done (passing legislation wise) after '18 and in his 2nd term as the face of Congress changes.

Well... actually everyone thought Hillary would win - and they could immediately pass repeal legislation that they knew she'd veto - and they could continue to bitch for 4 more years.
They never planned on actually having to govern.
