Happy Monday TR

So last year on my youtube channel, I made a few No Huddle videos of Aranda's defense at Wisconsin.

This year I'm doing the same only with Canada's offense at Pitt. I'll try and make more the next couple weeks. Enjoy.

Pitt vs GTech

Pitt vs Virginia Tech (Matt Canada vs Bud Foster)

I think we are going to surprise some people with our offense this year in a good way

I just don't know if a bunch of that sideline sweep stuff will work as much on the faster SEC defenses. I hope they put DJax in there on some of the sweep plays. Even as a decoy the defense would have to respect his speed. All I know is our TE's and FB's better be ready to get the ball a bunch. Definitely not the predictable old offense we've seen the past decade. I love the screen to the lineman.

I'm new to the term, but I'm pretty sure Guice in this offense will require some FAP?

I'm excited for Canada's offense. He's going to help us not be so predictable and he'll do what's effective.

Defenses will have to be disciplined and honest against Canada's offense. If the start cheating, Canada should be able to burn them.

Our players had best have their heads in the game though.

I see a lot of intermediate throws designed to keep the chains moving. A RB slipping out of the backfield in short yardage and floating a pass to him to pick up a first. Simple passes that have been lacking under Miles.

I know Canada has run several styles of offense based on personnel but lets assume we're best suited for something similar to what he did at Pitt.

Who plays the role of Quadree Henderson? He played a pretty big role in Canada's offense last year. Early reports suggest this will be Chark's role. He's probably our fastest position player. I'd love to see Donte Jackson get a shot at these plays with that blazing speed but he may be too important to the defense this year to have him play two ways with any regularity.

Canada should be able to suitably recreate Aston at fullback between D Williams or Ducre.

I wonder who on this LSU roster is going to get those plays called for #35.

With the way Guice runs, I think he'll have a record breaking year if he stays healthy.

If/when teams commit to stuffing the run, it'll be interesting to see what Canada can do. The most effective passing play in that game was a fluke tip.

I don't see those jet sweeps working well against the better SEC defenses. Teams like Florida or Bama will eat them alive with their team speed. Other than that, looks very interesting.

Honestly though, it all just depends on how well Etling plays. If they can make defense be forced into respecting stretching the outside and a half competent QB throwing the ball, you can really throw them off. I'm just not sold Etling is good enough against the better SEC defenses.

Another good sign from that video is that we don't need GREAT Oline play for this offense to work.

Not saying we won't have a good line, just noticing that Pitt had a pretty bad one and the offense worked all the same.

I love that play at the 1:15 mark. First drive. First TD.

Not sure how I feel about passing on 3rd and short. If we can consistently convert it, great. Unfortunately, I see a couple missed passes and the fanbase will start to get rowdy over it.
