Some shelters will not let you adopt if you live in an apartment. Just something to be aware of.

Single, apartment, running, and women attracting.
So low house work equals no shedding.
Running equals larger athletic dog.
Attracting females equals friendly and cute.
Poodle or poodle mix my man. Athletic retrievers that women have loved forever. Pay a groomer once a month and walla!

I dog sit various kinda dogs for my friends from Puggles, Hotdogs, Labs on and on..
They may seem common but the Golden Retriever I take care of gets the most attention from girls. They love it and it likes to run.

They don't think it's enough space depending on breed. Just something to be aware of. It's a completely asinine policy IMO. Apt >>> Shelter.

Pugs are awesome and everybody including chicks dig em. Have one now, great family dog. Love able, funny, great with kids, and tough as nails. But the only way a pug is going around an LSU lake is in a car!
Long legged well groomed poodle will catch the chicks while you catch your breath.

Just go walk around the shelter and find one you like. You may not find one the first day. Just keep going back. Make sure you take it outside and see if the dog is even into you. I adopted this sweet up this past week. I get to pick her up on Monday.

Yep just go buy what you want.
In the Northeast it is easier to get a Chinese baby then adopt a dog.
