my only thought on this is if I had three+ kids, I wouldn't want all of them to be the same sex. there is always something off about people from those families.

No, like possibly play soccer at a small college, if she wanted to. If she wants to play at a larger school, she's got work to do. I'm not counting on any athletic scholarship for college, nor should that dictate where she goes to undergrad.

With our first kid, we got an ultrasound early, because they thought we may have twins. They told us we had a girl. Months of buying girl stuff, painting, decorating for a girl, etc. Two weeks before the due date, old doc looks at my wife and asks if we know what we're having. We said yes, girl. He looks surprised, and orders another ultrasound, boy. I thrash for a week getting everything changed/exchanged, son is born a week early.
I was stoked to have a boy. The only boys in our immediate family. Carrying on the name, as it were.

Have one of both. Wouldn't want it any other way. Each gender has its own upside.

I've thought about this and it actually kind of bothers me. What if the child isn't healthy, are you going to love them any less? If you go into it thinking like this, you are more likely to be devastated if the child has problems.

Pressure was on me. My dad was one of two boys and 3 girls. His brother had two girls and he has me and my sister. So it was down to me. Now I'm growin the tree bigger with two boys. They have the pressure now.

My SO swears she can only have girls. Told her she has 3 strikes to prove it.
But rest assured if I have 3 girls, one of those bitches is gonna be a dyke.

Wanted a boy for my first. Got the boy. Didn't care after that. Second was a boy, now I hope the third is a girl.

Wife and I were late bloomers. Late 30's egg and sperm.
We just wanted healthy... No more.

Best case scenario here, never have to worry about little Sally, if middle son can't handle the shite heads then he just calls for backup.
I love having a little brother. He's a built in drinking partner. Plus when I was single his freshly legal female aquaintances worshipped me strictly because I could buy them liquor.
