It's only going to be about 5k capacity but they'll have skyboxes.
Lsu needs to take out seats in the 300 level on both sidelines and build boxes. Certainly it can be done.

LSU needs to get a rowdy student section again and seat them on the sideline like they used to be. Bring back the Deaf Dome. Of course, a better team is also needed and it appears that will be happening over the next few years.

Agreed about the Deaf Dome. I grew up in that era and would love to see the PMAC return to that environment. I'm not sure how I feel about creating less seating.

Where's it going to be located?

Curious, would you own or sit in a sky box? If not, why would you want them?

How would this improve the crowd and atmosphere? It would not. Skyboxes are not filled with rowdy, noisy fans.

It's by those old dingy dorms which were torn down in the football parking lot.

Mcneese was able to get funds for it bc it's a "multipurpose" center meaning they will have H&HP classes there.

Going to be a nice facility though

I'm happy for McNeese. I grew up watching Dumars in the civic center and although I loved the move to the Burton, it killed the atmosphere. The smaller venue on campus will be a much needed shot in the arm for the school and city.

Cool. Glad to see that its going to be closer to campus now. Also glad to hear they dont have those dorms anymore . Its been years since I've been around there.

Exactly what would the addition of sky boxes do for the average LSU fan and the team other than nothing.

If you eliminated the upper deck of the pmac and replaced it with suites, it would probably make the arena more compact allowing less room for sound to escape, which would theoretically make it louder with less people

Why is a cajuns fan commenting on a thread about McNeese?

Don't you guys have exhibition games to schedule?
