Nuggets seem to be shopping his name around. Seems like a very nice veteran fit and the legit SF we've had so much trouble getting. Curious to whether or not we have the assets to make that work.

Dell has been wanting him for years. Same with Nick Young.

Serious question? What are we doing with Solomon Hill if we bring in another SF? We don't really need another PF. Hard to play Solo with the bench guys. I'd rather get another elite scoring sg/pg so we can keep Solo with the starters.

If you bring in Chandler you can still have Solo start and bring Chandler off the bench. Then you can have Chandler as part of your finishing 5

That fits what they've been looking at, minus the elite part.

The NBA allows you to have multiple players on the roster who play the same position. It's a beautiful thing.

Also Hill and Chandler can both play a little 4, so there's flexibility there. We need shooters.

The advanced stats say he and Solo are about the same. Solo is also a better 3 point shooter percentage wise. If we can get him without giving up any real assets I'd be happy but he isn't a must get.

ETA: Chandler has also been really bad at corner threes the last couple of seasons.

Solo is pure garbage as a starting sf. We need an upgrade at the sf and sg spots. Spacing will be huge for this team. If we dont get shooters this will be another long year. Solo cant create for himself or others.

Dell's new strategy is looking at the phone and waiting for it to ring.

And looking at the numbers he is a worse shooter than Solo. He finishes at the rim much better than Solo, and turns the ball over less, but he's a much worse defender. I certainly would like to see him on this team but we have to make a trade to get him and I don't want to give up any of our real assets for him. We could use those for actual upgrades.

Yeah, I don't get this. Solo is slightly overpaid, but he is a good glue guy. He does a lot of the nitty gritty to help the defense. He often guards the best perimeter player, is the first back in transition D and gives great effort. He is an average perimeter shooter, but I think he will improve and if he ever gets more aggressive with driving from the perimeter, opponents wouldn't be able to close out on him as aggressively and he would be more effective. The staff is working on him with this now.

He's currently overpaid by $2-4M, but the staff and players seem to really like him. He's only 26 and should continue to improve incrementally. Impact small forwards are really expensive (see a limited 3 & D Otto Porter getting maxed). I think we get more bang for the buck keeping Solo and upgrading the 2.

Name any reasonably obtainable upgrades on Solo who won't crater the D. SF's who can defend, shoot, create, and make plays for others are pretty rare and typically very expensive in both salaries and assets necessary to acquire them.

I'd love to see a small lineup with Chandler at the 4 and Boogie at the 5.

Billups not taking Cavs job means LeBron wants out. Knows he can't win title in Cleveland so let the games begin.

Holiday, Boogie and AD could be attractive enough to entice LeBron. As much as he wants to play in major media market Lebron needs titles. We would have one hell of a big 4 before recruiting started.

Something to be proud of there.
Is Chandler or Monte any good at that?
