Universal Weed eater Heads.

I seriously thought the title subject was about a large community of pot heads that love to eat weed.

People actually use the blades instead of string?

I put one of the pivoting heads on my Stihl that uses 180 degree bent line. The theory is that the individual pivoting pieces saves the line from wearing out prematurely when people like my son attempt to cut down fence boards along with the weeds. It's also easier to load than the wrapped string.

So far have been pleased with it.

Check out Echo's Speed Feed head, assuming that's not the one you're replacing. I like it better than any universal model I've tried.

I bought the pivot trim (I think that's the name) and it seems to hold up pretty good for the last two years.

When I bought my house I went cheap and got a troybilt weedeater that could take other attachments. Tried an aftermarket quick feed head for it because I was tired of stringing and it was terrible. Most attachments were also hot garbage.

Bought a stihl a couple years back and it was the best thing I could've done. All of their products work seamlessly, including the poly blade head and the auto cut quick stringing head.
