23 mile ruck with 50lbs of gear on in the middle of August.

To be fair though, we started in the late afternoon when it wasn't quite as hot.

Back country skiing in Jackson Hole, hiking in ski boots with skis on my back.

Had to sit for an hour afterwards before skiing down.

Was in an insanely bad crash in an SUV built for prerunning. Belt mounts were designed to fail at a 10g impact with a 250lb driver.

Belt mounts failed. I held myself in the vehicle pinninf my knees to the steering wheel and pulling my body down toward the floor.

After 10-20 impacts, I climbed out, lit up a cigarette, and waiting for EMS to arrive. Blood pressure was over 190/140. Pulse 150+.

Had a very large boilermaker with lunch and was back behind the wheel by 4 pm.

Mountain rescue in the Wind River Range. Guy in another party was badly hurt in a fall. My guide said "come on, we're going over there to help." I didn't know wtf I was doing but there was no one else to do it.

I was about 245 at the time. 10g pull in one direction sucks. In every direction at once, it.... Hurt.

That's so easy...................

One of the hardest things I did was finish an Olympic triathlon with what I'm pretty sure was a concussion (wrecked on the bike). Just a horrid/exhausted feeling for 6 miles of running.
