Do people not get that this "I'm not reading that!" mentality is the reason the HOT TAKES Stephen A. Smith style is growing more and more popular? Everyone bitches about it, yet when a solid piece of journalism comes out, they cast it aside because LOL NOT READING THAT TOO LONG. This story is not only incredibly interesting, but well-written.
Quit acting like the illiterate, inbred Bama trash you are and read the fricking story.

Has there been any action taken against the coaching staff or university? This shite is terrible.

The two are tortured for 40 hours in a house by the drug dealer and his goons. One is shot in the femur and can't walk. The Rochester SWAT team breaks in after 40 hours and saves their lives. The perpetrators get between 7 and 155 years in prison.
Over 4 pounds of weed?
Man, that must have been one poor drug dealer to risk life in prison over 8k.

ESPN will be airing a special on this story on Sunday morning at 9 ET

Actually I got one thing wrong. The guy who organized the torture session wasn't even a drug dealer. He just wanted to help the drug dealer get revenge.
Sounds like a true lunatic who was just trying to find an excuse to make his violent fantasies come true.

He laughed in court when he got sentenced to 155 years in prison.
The dude is pretty clearly sociopathic.

Death penalty. All four of them should be hanged for this. The two trashy bitches included. That is one of the most incredibly fricked up things I've ever read.
The linebacker should have gotten a minimum of 25 years for his role.

I hope the kid gets paid millions by the university

For anyone who hasn't.....read the story. It's mind blowing.

Pretty wild scenario right there. He's also lucky he didn't bleed out and die from a gun shot to his femur. If I was a judge and saw some bitch laugh at a sentence of 155yrs in prison, id lose my shite. All 4 of those involved should be in prison for life IMO.

It's not like it was the heat of the moment and he got shot and rushed to the hospital not knowing that he got shot or what was going on.
He got shot....and sat there for hours and hours not knowing that his other leg was shot.
HOW BAD DOES THE REST OF THE EXPERIENCE HAVE TO BE TO NOT KNOW YOU'RE SHOT IN YOUR OTHER LEG TOO?

yeah. combine that with the sexual assaults being a casual "oh by the way, this also happened to them"
The horror of that experience is something I only thought would happen in a movie.

It was such a horrific read that it took me a minute to realize....holy shite this guy is insanely impressive. Dude still dominated life, and instantly.

Damn...
No words for that. What an insane story.
