This. Anytime I have to do a power scroll to get to the bottom of the article, I get lazy.

Football player sets up drug dealers to steal 4 lbs. of weed. In retaliation, two of his teammates are kidnapped and tortured.

I just finished it - worth the read.

Do people not get that this "I'm not reading that!" mentality is the reason the HOT TAKES Stephen A. Smith style is growing more and more popular? Everyone bitches about it, yet when a solid piece of journalism comes out, they cast it aside because LOL NOT READING THAT TOO LONG. This story is not only incredibly interesting, but well-written.

Quit acting like the illiterate, inbred Bama trash you are and read the fricking story.

What a harrowing story. I honestly can't believe this is the first time I've heard about it.

Here is a shorter version of the story from the Chicago Tribune.

TL:DR A roommate and teammate of a football player rips off a drug dealer and steals 4 pounds of weed. The drug dealer mistakenly targets the other roommate who had no knowledge of the situation, as well as one of his friends who is not connected at all to any of this.

The two are tortured for 40 hours in a house by the drug dealer and his goons. One is shot in the femur and can't walk. The Rochester SWAT team breaks in after 40 hours and saves their lives. The perpetrators get between 7 and 155 years in prison.

Good Lord.

It is worth the read, though.

unbelievable story. It's scary how many heartless psychopaths there are in the world. I suggest everyone read it.

A few things didn't make sense to me. Both roommates of the victims reported them missing when they didn't come home the next morning. What roommate much less two would think somethings wrong just because their roommate didn't show up in the morning? I wouldn't see my roommate for days.

How did they withdraw thousands of dollars from ATM'S? Do some banks allow this?

How could two college student athletes get catfished by such ugly arse trash? Seems like some alarm bells should have gone off just by the way these chicks looked. Crazy story nonetheless and I'm glad the two guys survived.

They didn't respond to any texts or calls, either. Sounds like Kosillas especially wasn't a big partier, so I can see that arousing suspicion.
