That is why we struggled the way we did and lost in 2 to a shitty Florida team.

Sad part is the numbers don't even tell the full story. Robertson & Duplantis both had 1 really good game to inflate those numbers. Watson was lights out until the Championship series.
Flip side, Beau picked up his average over the last 3 games.

That amoung other reasons (errors, mental mistakes, etc.)
Florida is anything but "shitty".
I'm happy the boys made it as far as they did. Back in March I would have laughed in your face if you told me LSU would make it to the final game in Omaha. Proud of them for coming to play for our school, and proud of the seniors for coming back to try and win one for us all.

Can you post he averages for the other teams?
I mean, it's almost like you see better pitching at the CWS.....
Hits and runs were at a premium, and LSU losing a couple of arms along the way did them no favors. They still had opportunities to win games but didn't execute when they needed most. Florida was a good team with one of the best pitching staffs in the country, and they didn't make errors and took advantage of opportunities.

Technically, they didn't. You would expect averages to drop facing top pitching for seven games. But Florida still found a way to get it done.

Florida batted .222
Oregon state batted 0.212
I probably could go on, but you should get the drift.
LSU lost this because of errors in the field and on the base paths, not hitting.
Averages will always drop when you face elite pitching.

It would be a mistake to say that this team can hit.

Not really. They were carried by a couple of arms. I don't view a team that hits .200 as a team on a season very good, but that's just me.

TOO many pop ups and SO. I'll give florsux one thing, their pitching kept our hitting cold as ice.
