Well if we win game 2 then 50% of teams that are 1 and 1 go on to win game 3!!!! Lol.

if you go by history, 57% of teams that win to force a Game 3 (start out 0-1, win Game 2 to even it out) go on to win the series.

There are percentages everywhere, and none matter. But almost all do point to tonight's game as the big one... if Florida doesn't sweep us, we're likely going to win the series in 3.

If those announcers said that once, they said it 50 times. Then, immediately after the game they decided to try to boost their ratings with "This thing is far from over, folks. Anything could happen."

I understand that this can be frustrating, but it's important to remember that this is actually their job to try to boost ratings in any way possible.

And 100% that win the third game win the series. Stats!

Teams winning 29% after losing first game is higher than we'd see if truly a toss up (25%). But as you guys have said, each independent game isnt a toss up with LSUs best pitchers to come and UFs done (as far as starters).

But really we're still underdogs. Even if LSU has a 70% chance of winning each of next two games it's still a toss up (LSU 49% IF 51%).

LSU as a 60% favorite in each game game is more realistic. Gives us a 36% shot.

No, I actually meant Championship Game. They've only played in 1 championship series and, if you look up the stats, they list elimination games as "Championship" games. Last night was not one of those.

Poche and Lange increase our chances. 3 Unearned last night... I feel good about it.

Usually people use their best pitcher game 1. We did the opposite.

They were hoping for a cheap win. PM is betting the series on both Poche and Lange going on full rest and hitting their spots.

From a strict mathematical perspective, this SERIES is still very close to a coin flip.

Actually if the two teams had an equal chance to win each game it would be 75%. This means that the team that loses the first game is the clear favorite in the next one.

Yeah but LSU is a huge favorite tonight and if they win likely will be tomorrow.
