2nd baseman Madrigal was All world and best player ever to step on a baseball field(announced for the 68 time during the game)...
That got very, very old
I will be honest though...with all the attention Kramer's mom got, followed pretty closely by Pap's dad, and then a couple others scattered in, I started to wonder if the Oregon State players even have parents...

So the ump is giving pitchers 6" off of the plate against lefties since the very first batter of the game and OSU's pitcher throws a fast ball in on lefty-batting Pap who deposits it over the right field wall.....and it is the ump's fault?
That ump's zone was horrible, especially early on. I think it actually shrunk during the middle innings, but not in the ninth.

If Pat Casey isn't checking into the backgrounds of the kids he's recruiting, then shame on him.
However, I don't think that's the case. I think he just chose to look the other way in the hopes it would never come out.

The foul ball call was bad, but it's been covered constantly how many people failed to question it for a review. Not LSU's fault one damn bit.
The strike zone yesterday was bad, but it came down to one thing. After the first, the OSU dugout reporter made a big deal about Kwan coming in after his strikeout telling everyone about the wide strike zone. After the game, Beau Jordan said Pap came in after the first and said the exact same thing about the zone. However, one team adjusted and the other team REFUSED to. OSU's whole game plan was to be patient at the plate. They waited until they got two strikes, and Gilbert hit his spots.
frick anyone who has sour grapes.

Ump was horrible and gave the pitchers 6" off the corner not to mention he was a hot dog. Still you adjust and take what he's giving.
The Beavers gripe about the blown call Friday is legit but they should have argued and got the review. If it's reviewed they most likely would have won and they would have moved on.

He did ask me about why Kramer Robertson gets so much publicity, and I told him that it was because he has a famous mom. That, and the fact that he moonlights on off nights as 'Lil Sweet.

In fact, he said that it's obvious that Omaha had already decided who they wanted in the finals and made sure that LSU and Florida got there, no matter what.
So why did they let Florida get to the brink of Elimination by getting clobbered by TCU friday? Same for LSU on Monday?
Your friend is a whiny idiot. Guess they know how Patriots fans and Warrior fans felt when their record-breaking seasons came to an end...oh wait, both of thise ended after losing a championship.
I guess OSU doesn't know what that feels like.

It's all true. I fixed the game by yelling balls and strikes at my TV.

The coach could have asked for the foul to be reviewed. I honestly think if the shoe were on the other foot coach paul would be getting bbq'd right now by our fan base and not the umpire. Its the coach's job to know his options. No one else

Now you know how Bama fans feel when we start stupid shite like that...
Unrelateable. The no-calls on the double-holding on the TD play, the personal foul after the fumble recovery, the PP7 INT just to name a few. Any and every game against us that they don't completely control from start to finish, they are the benefactor of a major momentum-changing play.
It's not just us either. They get a lot of the same BS in most of their conference games.
When was the last time you can remember when the refs decided a controversial call in our favor.
The last one I remember was the Eric Reid interception at the goalline in 2011. The pretty much had to call it because Reid controlled it and the Bama guy didn't. They reviewed that call for at least five minutes looking for an angle they could use to justify reversing the call on the field. It just wasn't there.
I can tell you with 95% confidence that if Reid hadn't ripped the ball away as the two went to the ground, they would have ruled it a completion.
It's not just Bama either. I can think of two losses to Auburn in the past decade that were entirely decided by the refs, not the players.
OSU had a couple of bang-bamg plays go against them. So did we. They made a lot of assumptions on the foul ball call. Not only is the fair/foul very much in question (unlike ESPN announcers would have you believe), there's no way to know how many score if it is ruled fair, and what transpires the rest of the way after that.
LSU might have scored more than 3 runs if they needed to do so in order to win.
For them to go that far out on the limb and say that not getting a call (that IMO was probably the right call anyway) to go their way, they win that game is absurd.
Two of the runners on base when that play happened got there because of strikes being called balls. If they want to really be honest about it, they should have never had the bases full to begin with.
That was one game against a superior opponent. Since they'd never played one of those before LSU, they think their team was the GOAT and that the only way they could possibly lose was if the other team and/or the umps cheated.
We have over a decade worth of footage demonstrating that SEC refs have no problem raping us if we're playing a school from Alabama.
The two aren't even comparable. For an LSU fan to be in denial over the bias in football is selling the players and coaches short.
It's not just us it happens to. Any Tennessee fan can tell you they were blatantly robbed of 40-50 seconds at th3 end of their game at Florida in 2015. Auburn took notice and did the same to us in 2016.
Every fan knows the rules about when the clock stops and starts after firat dowms and runs out-of-bounds.
Yet nobody said a word while the clock continued to tick away after every LSU play that wasn't an incomplete pass. They never stopped it once on a first down or rub OOB.
If the clock operators had any integrity, there's about 30 seconds (or perhaps much more, definitely no less) when Etling completed the TD pass to Chark or Dural (whoever caught it).
Watch it on replay and see for yourself.
As an aside, I don't get the hate for Etling. He led a game-winning touchdown drive and threw what would have been the winning TD pass with under a minute to go. It's not his fault Auburn is dirty and didn't at by the rules everyone agreed upon when doing so didn't benefit them.
Etling also led a potential game-winning drive against Florida. The fact that the final play was such an abortion is on the coaches, not the quarterback.
Back to my point though, OSU fans thinking their shite don't stink and LSU fans observing a very real bias favoring two division opponents in football are not comparable in any way.

Never played baseball, but it seems like a huge part of the game would be figuring out the ump's strike zone quickly and making sure your pitchers and hitters adjust.
It's no different than a DB in football pushing his limits in coverage early in the game. Offensive linemen do the same thing with holding. You play with the rules presented to you on the field.

You hit a homer from both sides your parents get on TV showing how proud they are. If your mom is a well known D1 coach she gets on TV. None of that was happening for OSU, nothing to show.

Wasn't his file basically sealed because he was a minor when it happened? It then became public when he missed a meeting with his supervisor/parole officer or something like that. Not sure you can blame Casey here.
