Yes, I'm against government funding bad choices of other people, and RvW is bad law, and shouldn't have been passed, like imminent domain crap....

I think abortion is immoral. But the last thing I would ever want is the government to regulate morality.

But sterilize ... anyone making under 50k a year single
you want to sterilize 132 million people for making less than a number you chose at random.
source = the social security administration
51 percent of American workers are under the poverty line of 30 grand, btw.
these arent leeches sitting at home watching TV. this is over half of the American workforce, people who work for a living, and theyre still in poverty.

What about India or China, would you like to see full-scale criminalizing of abortion worldwide? Or do you feel it more on a national level?

So many fiscal conservatives in here. Complain about the welfare state, but find the birthrate of poors and undesirables to be perfectly fine.
But unless you turn off the frick trophy funds then the dumbest among us will still be the ones rapidly reproducing.

Well, limit the number of kids they can have to 2, instead of allowing them to pop out 4,5,6,7 and they will see their wealth increase.

Good for them. They don't need more than 2 kids when they depend on us to feed them, shelter them. And give them health care.
Edit. I love how you tried to make it about race as well. Niceeeee. And you didn't quote where I said AFTER THEIR SECOND CHILD.
I'm not saying they shouldn't be able to reproduce. They just shouldn't be able to pop out 5 kids when they live on govt handouts and work min wage.
Learn to read, frick stick.

and yet

abortion rates among the poor are lower, with 32 percent in the highest income bracket having an abortion compared to 9 percent of low-income terminations.

The idea that 'those people' who get abortions are terrible, no good, very bad people seems tied to some notion that they are all poor
It has nothing to do with race or class.
It seems to me that any woman who would choose to end the life of their unborn baby, by default, wouldn't be a good mother to that baby.

I think on this board lost people say they are pro life but know people who had abortions and think that circumstance was an exception.

Just as an aside thank yall for just answering honestly and not attacking me just for being liberal. Need more of this.
Liberals don't get attacked here. Progressives do. There aren't many actual liberals left in the world.
I hate abortion personally. I think it's taking a life. I hate that a woman can abort the child even if the dad wants to keep the baby.
However, as a prog told me, I don't really care or I would be marching outside abortion clinics so at the end of the day I suppose I'm fine with it legally. As others have said, just don't take money from me to kill tiny humans. Looking at you Planned Parenthood.

Two workers bringing home 50k isn't poverty.

an individual making 30k a year is not poverty in most areas.

It's late so maybe I'm reading this wrong but how is this contrary to what I said?

It's not contrary, it's a relevant fact. Rich people get abortions too, in fact, at a higher rate. They just don't have as many unplanned pregnancies. When they do, they sure like having abortion as an option.
Posted on 6/23/17 at 12:56 am to SpyBoy
Mostly pro choice but none done after a certain amount of time. Also absolutely no partial birth abortions should be legal for any reason.

Aren't there more abortions historically than illegal immigrants? Isn't one of the arguments from the left for illegal immigration is to help save the ponzi scheme that is social security? If those aborted little lives were not aborted but placed in families, do they help social security stay a bit more solvent, not that they are at all anyway?

Ok..... but that has absolutely nothing to do with my comment.
I never said that rich people don't abort. In fact my comment implied that they have more than poors.

It has a lot to do with your comment. You responded to someone specifically referencing poor people with a base level claim about "frick trophy funds," implying that the cause of abortion is largely financial and involving poor people.

I'm on the left on a lot of things but I think we need immigration reform. I don't think a wall is feasible or effective though.
The reason we have an immigrant problem is because we have a "employers wanting to pay workers under the table" problem.
Crack down on people employing illegals and they'll deport themselves. Cut off government funding and don't let them work and they'll come out of the woodwork.
Won't happen though. Too many people like paying Mexicans $3/hr and no taxes.
