Pro-life.

I have many libertarian views but they don't apply to abortion because I view the unborn as a living person. I wouldn't support the "choice" to terminate its life (except in cases where the mother's life is in danger) any more than I would support the choice for a mother or father to kill their 2 year old for being a constant nuisance and burden.

By anti-murder you don't support Cops killing innocents, our government bombing helpless nations, supporting the industrial war machine, the death penalty, or big pharma right?

yea let's exterminate tens of millions of the purest souls among us for political expediency.

The argument in favor of abortion that it eliminates "undesirables" is literally evil. You can argue for a women to choose, but you don't fricking argue for exterminating people you view as lesser than you.

I am a conservative. When I look at people I see their souls and the light that exists within them.

I am not a materialist marxist.

Get that. To me though, to support or not support is one thing, to implement is another. Do you think it would be possible to transition to a country in which the practice is illegal without some serious unintended consequences?

I recently learned that the Greeks left unwanted babies out on the edge of town, at some designated dumping off sight that everyone knew about.

So either one of two things would happen: 1) The babies would either die from exposure or get eaten by animals or 2) People would go there and pick the up babies and take care of them.

I think we should bring back the baby dumping off site.

And I see hundreds of thousands of taxpayers dollars being set on fire.

We can surely meet in the middle. Outlaw abortion. But sterilize all violent felons, anyone on welfare for longer than 2 years, and anyone making under 50k a year single/100k family with 2 kids to prohibit them from poping out money leeches.

Of course not, but I think the unintended consequences would not outweigh the moral benefits of saving lives. I honestly think a day will come when people will look back and shudder at the thought of so many millions of innocent lives killed in the name of convenience.

It may not be romantic but it is rational. Subsidizing our dysfunctional to have higher birth rates than our functional citizens is as absurd as open unlimited immigration, both are the end of western civilization.

What about India or China, would you like to see full-scale criminalizing of abortion worldwide? Or do you feel it more on a national level?

I want to clarify I don't think the babies are worthless. I think the people who would get an abortion will most likely raise them to be trash.

When I see how some children are treated I can't help but think they would be better off if they were never born. Like the news stories of the parents that left their kid in the same diapers for weeks and when it died there were roaches crawling out of its diapers.

Abortion is tragic but not as tragic as being born and then neglected or abused.

So many fiscal conservatives in here. Complain about the welfare state, but find the birthrate of poors and undesirables to be perfectly fine.

What if the parents are rich?
Brookings

Relevant bit:
quote:

. But low-income women are less likely to use contraception, are thus more likely to get pregnant, and also have lower abortion rates when compared to their more affluent counterparts, the paper finds

The idea that 'those people' who get abortions are terrible, no good, very bad people seems tied to some notion that they are all poor (probably black), "non tax payers." but the data says otherwise.
