Heading down to grand isle with family this weekend, I typically fish out of Dularge seeing if anyone been lately and did any good.

Figured the default to fishing rocks in front of island if weather allows, considered trailering to fourchon to fish timbalier but would rather stick around island with wife and little one to make a quick run back if needed.

I'll be down there fishing the surf all weekend starting in the AM. Gonna be a bit windy, but I hear the surf trout have been on fire.

Damn near no tide so I'm glad there is some wind to move some water. Hoping to find some reds in the marsh

Fished Grand Isle Saturday 6/10/17. 3 man limit of Reds, picked up about 8 trout, lots of throw backs. We were mainly targeting Reds, but would stop for birds or a nice looking point to find trout.

Reds were caught on live Cocahoe Minnows under cork...a couple on Spinner Baits. Most of the reds were perfect eating size 18"-20"

Trout were caught on Matrix Shad Limbo Slice, under cork and a few on live Cocahoes

A few buddies were smoking the trout off the beach with croakers on bottom with carolina rig.

If you are going for trout, hit the beach if the weather allows. If not, find some moving water around the marsh and bounce around.

We fished the marsh on the back side of Chenier.

Good Luck

I'm seeing half a foot to almost a foot of tide over the weekend and winds under 10mph. seems like the perfect weather to me

Agreed decent tide movement all day and if wind lays down will hopefully be a good day.

I'll be fishing Friday pm and Saturday and unless I'm reading something wrong I don't see much on Tides4fishing. I glanced at it once a week ago. I don't really sweat that stuff. Just go when I can and make something happen

Dammit...where at? I went this past weekend and loaded up on reds in the surf, but not the first trout. I was on Elmers and worked probably 50 yds of beach front. Using live shrimp, I fished under cork, carolina rig, and sliding cork.

We limited out on specs and reds last weekend on beach at timablier, damnedest thing i've seen, throw to the right
of point catch a red, throw to the left of point catch a spec. Funny who they can be some days.

A few years ago if you threw 2feet off the beach you caught a red every cast

If you threw 10-15 off you caught a spec

It was wild

This was elmers
