Watching tGC right now. They're going over the holes and said they might the widest fairways ever in the US Open.
ETA: The greens are also pretty tame. I'm fine with the rough. Na is a bitch.
ETA #2: They're saying 8-12 under could win it. Rory said people will go all week without hitting a ball into the thick rough.

Yea, the fairways are pretty generous and the greens are relatively flat outside of 3-4 shorter holes. If the wind is tame 1-2 days, I'd expect to see a few scores around 65-66.
The course also plays a lot shorter than the distance says due to roll outs. I've played it twice...once from 7000 and once from 7400. Outside of #10, 500 yd par 4 uphill, It seemed pretty fair to me.
Honestly, the players should be bitching about the bunkers more than the rough. The bunkers aren't prefectly rounded and manicured. There are some little crevices that will frick you over.

Plus if you're gonna hit it wild, be really wild. The fescue closer to the FW is gonna be thicker due to watering and fertilizer
